  8. Rocky,

I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just lost for words. Sometimes it is better NOT to say than say it. It helps to keep the PEACE.

But then we don't solve any problems either. So what?

To you and all in the Blogging Fraternity "Gong Xi Fa Cai".

(You don't have to be Chinese to celebrate the occasion.
    We are all Malaysians, right?)

Happy CNY to all our Chinese bloggers and commentators!

Rocky - I thought I'd share this on your blogspot and get some reaction. An article prepared for a popular mainstream newspaper on Muslim perceptions of the pig was spiked because it was considered sensitive. The fear is that a non-issue may be made an issue by people with vested interests.

One of the views contributed was that unlike the other Chinese zodiac signs which were used to advantage by Muslim and non-Muslim politicians, the PIG will not enjoy such glamour. Muslim Ministers will not stand beside Chinese Ministers to bless a model/image of the pig in order to show inter-ethnic solidarity.

What do you think? Any perceptions (Muslim or non-Muslim) on another of God's creatures?

  10. Rajahram,
No, not at all bro. It's not an issue at all. To me it's perfectly ok if a blogger chooses to lie low, for whatever reasons.
We all need a holiday sometimes. Looking forward to you return from yours!
And here it is, a Melayu to an Indian wishing, Happy Chinese New Year.
