Ah, Zahrain!

Cynical reaction: Not everyone has faith in the MACC

WAR ON CORRUPTION WINS KONSENSUS SUPPORT. Finally, a Member of Parliament brave enough to give praise to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commisison (MACC) for its untiring efforts to fight corruption. Read Tahniah, SPRM the blog post by Zahrain Mohd Hashim, the MP for Bayan Baru. Zahrain represents neither the government coalition (BN) nor the Opposition coalition (PR). He is Konsensus Bebas.

I agree with Zahrain absolutely. The MACC needs our support to fight corruption.  Take the move to arrest and charge former Selangor MB Khir Toyo yesterday. Some people on twitter were quick to say that this was an election ploy by the Barisan Nasional government. They have their own reasons to be cynical but let's give credit where it's due.

On a different note, apologies for not updating my blog since last week. And a belated Maal Hijrah. Due to some connectivity problems in the boondocks where I live, my cyber activities have been limited to the Twitter. One of my tweets last week ...

    Bro Rocky,

Even if there is zero corruption PR leaders will still not vote BN. So its more important that BN focus on doing the right things. Show to the people that BN government is sincere, accountable, fair and very responsible.

  6. Rocky, I agree with you when you said that MACC needed our support.

But for me to support the MACC,IT must show ME tangible result like convicting a BIG FISH.As you know, so far they is not any BIG Fish being convicted. In all fairness,we cannot blame the RAKYAT to conclude that this case against Dr GIGI is a "WAYANG KULIT" like what happen to the case of ERIC CHIA and KASITAH GADDAM.
The MACC and the AG office under Gani have not been performing, not because both of these agencies do not have the manpower or expertise, but because they practise SELECTIVE PROSECUTION.

The way Dr GIGI walk into the court,it would not surprise me that the court would said later that he has NO CASE TO ANSWER.

If you want my support, please be fair to me BY PRODUCING RESULTS and NO WAYANG KULIT.

I think if and when the MACC can act independently without fear or favour, and answerable to no one,it naturally will have public support. But how can it be, when that the public perceived it to be selective and acted so fast when its people from the other side?
And what are the charges KT is facing, land fraud or corruption?

I think MACC should investigate YB Zahrin on corruption charges. How he manage to buy a 3m bunglow in Kota Damansara, buy a new car and smoke Cohiba Cigar that cost him 150 rgt per stick after he become independent MP.He was a poor MP when he was in PKR and the monetory reward was the main reason why he leave PKR.

Agree with Anon 7.46 PM. The government should not be doing `things' to please the opposition or non-malays for that matter. There is no amount of `sacrifice' or ang pow to chinese, it will no change their mentality of being anti-Malay-led government. Focus on the `real rakyat' of this country who is in still in needs to survive . The non-Malays is still holding on to 70% of the wealth of this country, and they simply wants everything. The Malays, will be just like those in Penang, getting kacang putih projects, and the racist Lim Guan Eng is screaming to the whole worldthat the Malays won 70% of the contract. Lim Ah Pek, who would believe you, stupid.

    George Choo,

Aiyya, you typical of the kiasus.

Even supporting anti-corruption, you want the authorities to give something to you first. Have you read JF Kennedy's famous remark? -

"Ask not what the country can do for you, ask what you can do for the country".

And you play golf. You should play with those thinking, broad minded and responsible ones, you know. Or is it that the courses are full of tom, dick and harry these days. Golf clubs oso they want to turn into profit-making businesses - make the membership transferable so that they can make money on membership. Go to the Stock market to make money la. Why, don't want to take risks ha?

Btw, are you a Malaysian citizen? If so, support anti-corruption without expecting anything first la. Only a small contribution to the cause, man. I don't expect you to be a whistle blower but at least don't write wet blanketing comments like that.

    Only for now !
No further action will be taken after the election
    or insufficient evidence found.
Najib still needs his influence and his support as president of Umno to remain as P.M. of Malaysia.
So really is no sacrifice at all to have him indicted for now.

What is there to support? MACC is taking a shot a the lame duck Khir Toyo. Najib has to do this when he ran out of option. And even then it is not certain the axe will fall.

I am still not convince. Charge and convict that PKFZ Ting fella. Throw Ling Liong Sik in jial. Jail Khir Toyo. Charge that Sarawak Taib. Then I can say Najib is serious. Else everything is a spin.

The chinese drama in TV 2 every Sunday 6pm is taking the lead in showcasing the seriousness of corruptions in Malaysia.

While the malay drama always focus on cinta and more cinta. Are the malay producers afraid to produce drama that might touch the sensitivities of certain people?

The chinese surely have taken the lead in this area....for once the malay producer should have the balls to do it.

If MACC and AG have been reading the Annual Reports of the Auditor General of Malaysia before they go to sleep then MACC and AG will have their hands full at least until 2020! Do we have to make a report before actions can be taken by MACC and AG even though those audited reports are official government documents on mismanagement of rakyat's money? Please investigate as billions are being abused annually!

Zahrain is a political scum. Whatever comments he made should merit the lowest of attention.

As for Khir Toyo, he has committed many more despicable corrupt practices, the fact that the Macc can only come up with a sect 165 Penal Code offence and not an offence under the Macc Act, shows the incompetency and the amateurish standard of Macc investigation.

By the way, didn't the Macc investigate the bribes paid by Umno to Zahrain to jump ship? Or are they so incompetent to not able to make a case against him. Zahrain was suddenly flushed with cash and funds as soon as he leap-frogged from PKR.

Itu semua sandiwara saje. I will bet you a new netbook as to whether the Toyol is found guilty or will be let go, like so many others before him. Mau tak ?

There's an email going round that highlights twenty (20) cases of corruption against the Toyol. Apparently, like all big cases of corruption in Bolehland, there's always an Ali-Baba connection and in Toyol's case, his Chinaman partner is non other than his former neighbour in Sekinchan.

Oi, MACC, what are you going to do about all these:

  25. Corruption is a disease and no doubt when MONEY is offered..weak minds and greedy people will fall for that...dis-carting all noble values...loving families first... to be corrupted so that they can give them better life and futures.
As such...they is no doubt..some PR politicians can be corrupted too.
But we need to look at the bigger picture and all details.
Under Tunku UMNO...also corrupted Ministers are contented and yet concerned responsible ministers....just to have enough money from nowhere...to be comfortable.
Under Mahathir's UMNO B....those are not corrupted politicians per se. Those are real greedy devils that want to become billionaires stealing from all Malaysians...and nothing is enough..for they are drunk with false titles to show off to the world... and smart enough to also steal to buy votes...to indirectly plan..to buy up the country.
This is Mahathir's UMNO B..thought out by the DEVIL himself...and is a racists in sheep clothings.
Mahathir made sure all stay as racists...stay stagnant..don't move forward...with is out-dated..to divide and rule...which is exactly what makes UMNO B so successful.
Now you all so call righteous noble pro UMNO B Malaysians... go and think hard and be reasonable.
Comparing some PR corrupted blokes to UMNO B gang of robbers and thieves...is just one way...these smart pro Govt. fellas are mixing up oranges and apples as the same.
Such style can be seen repeated over ad over again.
You can ONLY judge PR when voted in with power...and proven no better than UMNOB...always can vote them out again.
Meanwhile...54 years under one party is more than enough....unless pro UMNO B racists still dreaming UMNO B will rule forever..and for what benefits to them..Allah only knows.
We can conclude most weak minds re from UMNO B members and that's exactly what UMNO B wants.

Also all the cheating cases in which price of goods went up several hundred times higher in the AG's reports year after year. A simple investigation will suffice to throw all the officials into jail. Maalumat anda keluarkan itu nampaknya serius. Tolong beri kpd SPRM secepat mungkin.

Tak perlu kasi nama anda - pakai pseudonymn, sikit macam blogging ni.

Nampaknya anda ada punca maklumat yang bagus. Tak cukup keluarkan disini saja. Tolong hantar kpd SPRM. Secepat yang boleh. Anda berkhidmat kpd negara jika buat demikian.
