Seksyen 23 residents prevail

updates:.4 am Monday: End of Civility by Marina Mahathir

3.45pm, Big Dog's post: "Selangor MB Flip Flop"

Original posting:
Temple relocation shelved. Not a good day for Khalid Ibrahim. The Menteri Besar's dialogue with the Section 23 residents this morning went awfully awry.
Lessons for the govt:
1. Unilateral decisions don't pay, especially with a weak government/leadership
2. Democracy is alive (especially after a demonstration)

The residents/protesters' "victory" should inspire more demonstrations in Selangor in future, I reckon. Or more consultations between the Sgor govt and residents, especially the Malay-Muslim residents, before any action that may affect them is taken.
Or both.

Agenda Daily has a graphic brief on the event. Watch their space here for the full report.

Kecoh…kecoh...kecoh

p.s. I read somewhere that Khir Toyo said the previous state government had earmarked two sites for the relocation of the temple before March 08.

    Rocky,

You got to give them credit for being brave to face the hostile crowds. can we recall any of the UMNO leaders willing to face similar situation.

  2. bat8,

that's hardly a quality that makes a good government. i'll give them credit for that but i'm sure they knew that a refusal to face the residents will simply lead to uglier repercussions.

the other option would have to meet the residents before making a decision.

  3. Just shows mob rule has started in Malaysia. A bloody disgraceful 'performance'by the protestors.

Similarly disgraceful action by those who praise this mob.

    Dear all,
Bravo to MB Khalid for making the right decision and temp shelved the temple relocation. If any other decision, I'm sure the racist & bigots protestors in the meeting will cause untoward incidents. From some the photos, it looks like some Indian residents begin to responds and wanted to fight the Malay protest residents group. Definitely it may cause May 13th incident in the town hall meeting, this time under Najib watch, the same case during his father's time. We should vote for BN next election, because MIC & UMNO is the best solution for Selangor. We need UMNO to control their racists and MIC to control their racists so they won't fight each other. Hidup BN!!! Hidup UMNO!!! Hidup MIC!!!

That's the thing when we have incompetence government or state exco's.

These excos have no knowledge of procedures plus dumb enough to leave a trail of corruption or abuse of power.

Selangor is the most advanced state and there is no place for those in power to find time for learning curve.

    Those who voted suffers now.

  10. Dear Old Fart,

Hisham came out with his on Thursday, didn't he? He said those responsible for the cow-head provocation will be charged in court (next week, I hear). SOme described it as flip-flop, but I'm glad he didn't accuse the MI or Mkini of taking his words out of context on Wednesday (reports that said he "defended" the protesters and "justified" their cow-head gesture).

As for Khalid Ibrahim, his decision would be construed as siding with the protesters. You can't blame people if they see it that way. I didnt want to say it in my posting, but it's clearly flip-flop, mate.

    Hi Rocky,
We are living in a multi-racial society, and I do not believe with my own eyes that this is happening in Malaysia. Seksyen 23 has about 30% of non Malay but that doesn't mean a temple should not build there. Non Malay can tolerate the 5 times prayers via big speaker from the mosque and no complaints because we believe this is what we need to do living in a multi racial society. but what seksyen 23 residents did was a total disgrace, and not going well with 1Malaysia concept.

Furthermore, I heard the dialogue consist of more than half are NOT residents from seksyen 23 and the quarrel broke out when they were asked to leave. I hate to assume but I hope those not from seksyen 23 are not BN people...I hope, seriously. because what happen today can potential cause racial tension among the Malay and Indian....

    My questions...

Then how are we suppose to live in a society that support to be integrated and tolerate each others belief when you have MIC to control Indian, UMNO to control Malay..? what we need is a multi racial party and not a race based party....don't you think? but this is what I believe all these while..Malaysian is not living in so 'harmony' as we think if we still going on with race base party...

    Hoi Kentut Tua,

Dulu kamu kata semua rakyat Selangor ni sokong PR kan? Tu penduduk seksyen 23 tu kumpulan pertama yg memberontak.

Macam kamulah asyik tuduh UMNO BN blah...blah. Takda demokrasilah konon. Demokrasi PR kamu tu demokrasi taik kucing.

Barulah kamu tahu ye, bukan senang nak jadi pemerintah.

  17. Bro, setuju seratus peratus that the arrogant Pakatan Selangor Government should have taken the option to meet the residents before making such a sensitive decision.

Where is that PKR Exco Xavier Jayakumar anyway, I think any Government Committee to establish or relocate new places of worships for any Religion in Malaysia should NEVER be Chaired by a politician, they make decisions based on votes they could get, without any comprehension what trouble it would bring later. The Chairman for such a Committee should be a non politician, equivalent maybe to an ex judge or the serving State Secretary while the Committee members must be made of prominent citizens and representatives from the Local Council,Majlis Agama Islam, Hindu Sangam, Council of Churches and Buddists etc. and of course the Police. The operative word is NO POLITICIANS.

Silly to even think of building a KUIL in a Muslim majority area.

Let us be frank here. My staff's mum, a 56yr old Chinese Single Parents just got laid recently.

They used schoolchildren!! They knocked her car, and when she was about to step out, THEY BASHED HER FACE, all rushed into her car and drove her deep inside to a rubber estate.

There, they forced her for pin numbers, two guarded her while the other two went to the Banks. In the meanwhile, over the phone, already negotiating with the other end caller for the sale of HER car!

After 2hours, lucky a couple passed them by, and these thugs panicked, hands tied behind, she kicked her door and ran towards the passersby..

SERAM SERAM... GOD BLESS these Seky23 residents.

It is related... the KUIL will bring all kinds of similar unfortunate incidences that we here are having to face daily.. and by the color of their skins, language etc.. don't tell me they are Robin Hood from Nothingham!

PHOBIA, SERAM... Belum kena belum faham!

    Salam semua,
Tertarik juga baca perkembangan terbaru ini.

I think there is some amount of double standards and it will translate into BN losing many sympathy votes in the coming by-election in Bagan Pinang. The original protestors dont get arrested, but those holding candlenight vigils are arrested. Similarly in the Penang case, the reporter gets arrested, but the protestors only got a UMNO reprimand. Why don't arrest the protestors for a night, and then only talk to them? How come only the messengers get free food in jail?

    Surah Al Maaidah ayat 8 yang bermaksud;
“Bertindak adil!

    YB Khalid, bagaimana perasaan anda jika ;

Bagaimana pula jika mempunyai penyakit asma?

`When suggested that Malays in other parts of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur have no problems with Hindu temples being built near their houses, even when these areas are predominantly Malays, Roshan rebutted gushingly’

    Rocky

So you rekcon the minority who created the ruckus were actually displaying 'true Malay/Muslim' culture by hurling insults at fellow Muslims (MB Selangor and the Shah Alam MP).

You conveniently forgot that it does not take very long for UMNO leaders to be similarly 'cursed and sweared at'.

First they allow 'outsiders' to bring a dumb cow's head for an illegal protest march.

Then they do not allow a decent dialogue to happen...and watched by non-Muslims who now get a better pictue of how such minority can also behave - even during bulan puasa!

What democracy is this that you are condoning?

And you have, in a very subtle manner, 'encouraged' such behaviour by saying - there will be more demonstrations in future!

Well, demonstrations need not be just by such 'minority racists' but can even be by the majority who can lose patience over such 'racist' behaviour of these 'intelligent' ones who cannot even participate meaningfully in a dialogue.

I would like to see you organise a dialogue with these 'racists' and ask BN leaders lik Samy Vellu, Kho Tsu Khoon and Ong Tee Kiat to have a discourse on this very subject.

You try to moderate and lets see if the non-Mulsim leaders can engage these 'racists' meaningfully.

It is also shocking to hear claims that 'smell and sound' from the temple will disturb/affect the residents!

    You believe this crap?

And traffic jams, 300 meters away from the residential area ..... hah, these buggers want to come out with such nonsense...and you do not see the real agenda?

You touched on Khir Toyo's novel plan for relocation of places of worship.

I suppose you agree that non-Muslim places of worship must be located in industrial sites only in Selangor?

The ruler of Selangor endorsed such suggestion?

And what about the Muslims who are working and earling a living in the factories located in the industrial sites?

They are deaf, dumb and blind - so much so they are not 'konon-nya' affected by the activities of the temples, churches and other non-Muslim places of worship?

What are you 'instigating' and 'endorsing' bro?

    Rocky,

Protest made by S 23 residents are not the first of its kind, as a matter of fact, there are many more worst case scenario happened before that.

We don't have to be hypocrite as such we only viewed demonstration as the forces of evil in any society. Don't be too quick to judge peoples who are not sailing in the same boat with you.

Sometimes, when negotiations have reached a dead end (such as the nutmeg village's issue), peoples tend to jump their gun and do the unthinkable. That must be avoided at all costs.

So, demonstrations, at times, no matter how we hate it but to them (desperate lot) most probably it is just a kind of necessary evils.

By the way, compared to a state of anarchy, demonstration is definitely the lesser evil!

It seems that the acute denial disorder suffered by DAP,PAS and PKR Aduns in Perak have infected the Pakatan groupies who still insisted that the demonstration with the cow head at Shah Alam is UMNO's doing while the hard truth is that it is organised and supported by PKR and PAS leaders not happy with the Pakatan State Government decision to locate the temple at Section 23.

The meeting at the Dewan Banquet is a Pakatan Leader vs Pakatan Supporter affair, after all the Shah Alam Residents voted in a PAS MP and PKR Aduns. Basically both YB Khalids and Rodziah kena cow-cow dengan penyokong mereka sendiri, I must say they deserved the brickbat for their ignorance and arrogance. Such a pity Xavier Jayakumar does not have the balls to attend as well. The Meeting would not have happened if KDN Minister Hisham had not made the first move to meet the residents first to hear first hand about their complaint giving little chance for the PKR MB and the PAS MP to avoid a face off with their own constituents on the issue. The majority residents of Seksyen 23 and Shah Alam indeed all Selangor would do well to remember that in the next GE. The grass is not all that green on the other side.

The reason why the previous MB never had to go through this was, hmmm, probably, just maybe, he did it according to what people wanted it kot... I didnt hear anyone protest of any mosques or temples before in selangor, up until now. Again, mob rules are a trait of this PR thing usually used against BN in any shape possible. The yellow shirt march la, abolish ISA la, whatever bullcrap la, now, their own people, actually take this protest or march or peace rally or whatever you call it (it still means the same thing and looks like the same thing) to another level, up a notch, where they bring an item to symbolize how stupid someone can be or some people can be or the government can be. What is the difference between you wearing a yellow (sponsored shirt, I do wonder who got rich for those and whose money they used for it) shirt to a rally which symbolizes a yellow gathering for whatever yellow means to these idiots, and these people bringing a cow's head, which embodies the idea as stupid as a cow, to a march/gathering/peaceful rally/bullcrap? They are both, the shirt and the cow's head are the supposedly theme of the march/gathering/peaceful rally/bullcrap. It is just the cow's head, coincidently, are a sacred item to a group of race in this country. To all hypocrites out there, I betcha if the protest with the cow's head are towards any BN states or the federal govt, we would definitely hear very delusional stories on how the people have spoken, the BN are such bastards and the list of delusion and hypocrisy goes on and on..... Mengata dulang paku serpih, baling batu tangan sembunyi guys... these are what malaysians have come to.

  71. Dear Rocky,

To hold an illegal assembly to demonstrate our view or anger is not the correct way. To rub the further salt into the wound, the demonstrators have used cow head to express their anger and disatisfaction toward Selangor government. This can incite racial friction with Indian community which is not good for our relationship with our Indian friends. We have been at each other throats for very long time already, we should stop this nonsense. But anyway, I do agree with you we should not make any decision unilaterally, a good government will make decision based on practicality and wisely. Therefore, this Selangor government failed in this regard = stupid.

  79. Rocky,
    Few Questions:

    1. Since the Temple has been there in Sec.19 for over 150 years and well before any development - why should it be relocated? Since it was there first - just leave it there. The Sec. 19 residents should not complain as they knew the temple was there when they moved in.

    2. Is it now acceptable for residents in Chinese Majority areas to protest and prevent the siting of any suraus or Mosques in their area. Imagine if they bought a pig's head in front of ta mosque's proposed location and left it there?

    3. Khir Toyo's stupid plan was to relocate several Temples to one location - thus making Hindus travel even further than before.
The logic is stupid because why move several to one place.
Does that mean we should move mosques in Chinese majority areas to one location as well?

And as for these so-called Muslims - when was it acceptable to insult other religions by defiling a Cow's head and when was it acceptable to slur people with the word 'Babi'. These people by their actions are murtad already....

    ReplyDelete
  80. We're lucky this inept state govt managed to avert a racial incident at the meeting. What was Khalid thinking?

The PR state govt started the fiasco in the first place by moving the temple to S23 and refusing to meet the residents earlier. Then in the scramble at damage control they organised a PR exercise (pun intended). They invited the residents for a meeting when tempers were already frayed.

What did they achieve with this meeting that they organised too late? I'm surprised chairs were not thrown at the town hall meeting.

Now neighbours who had previously lived peacefully in S23 return home with bad feelings because words had been said. Do you think things will be the same in S23 even if the temple is not relocated there? Inept.

Five times of 'Azan' " per day here in Malaysia ? So what ? Have we forgotten that Islam is the official religion of Malaysia ?

Would foreigners complain of the same, say in Jeddah or in Cairo or in Abu Dhabi ?

If you are bent on complaining of the same, then go to our some of our neighbouring countries !

But while you are here, just accept the situation and keep quiet ; and be grateful that our forefathers did what they did to make us have a country and citizenship !

A little understanding and humble acceptance is only a small sacrifice compared to those who had willingly sacrificed a much bigger share of their lot !

    ReplyDelete
  82. Anonymous8:08 am

The PR supporters are either blind or plain stupid.

The Section 23 issue was caused by the failure of the state government to get the buy-in of the residents for the temple. It was never a religious issue.

Lets put it straight. The use of the cow head is beyond forgiveness. But the state arrogant failure to get the buy-in resulting to this situation is also unforgiveable.

But as usual the PR mouthpiece, the Malaysian Insider and the PR supporters are stupidly following the PR agenda without any sense of balance.

The protestors have a right here. Though they are wrong to use the cow head and should be punished for that but they have the right to object. You cannot argue that since we have a mosque everywhere then equally others should be entitled to a temple. This is an outright fallacy. In the west, like italy, france and even UK its almost impossible to build a mosque in a majority populated non-muslims area. Even though the application are by muslims citizens of that country. Why? Because the non-muslims objected to it for various unreasonable grounds. But no one including even the PR dogged supporters and Malaysian insider would ever call them as practising apartheid or racists and religous bigots like they are calling these section 23 people. Why is it in this case they do?

So now, in order for the muslims to get a mosque built in the West, they have to get the community's acceptance and buy-in. Allay the non-muslims counterpart's fear etc. Then only you can build a mosque.

So in Malaysia, if you build in an area mostly populated by muslims why is it so wrong to get a buy-in from that community. The selangor state government in this case failed miserably in the first instance to get the buy-in leading to this religious tensions. They are to be blame. But no. The pea brain malaysian insider editors and PRs blind followers are too stupidly partisan to know and accept the truth and false.

Thus the issue which should not have been a religious issue has turned out to be one and with deep implications. This is totally unnecessary and alarming. And this misplaced condemnation and castigations on the muslims malay do not help at all the issue if its to happen again in the future.

    The real truth is ...

the pakatan was never ready to govern, it was a fluke that arose from rejection of paklah

now the people who voted for pakatan are waking up to the fact that the learning curve for them has to be very steep if they want to display a semblance of competency

the very fact that this is a marriage of convenience is becoming very clear for all to see

but the 3 divergent parties KNOW that they have NO more chance to govern if they don't take this GOLDEN opportunity

so they have paid writers, cybertroopers to whack the present govt and make them out to be corrupted, inefficient, racist, and in short, to be brought down

this country is admired by many as a model of good governance irregardless of these intermittent troubles

despite what these detractors have to say about being the laughing stock, Malaysia has great potential to achieve vision 2020

basically because the foundation laid down by the great statesman Tun Dr Mahathir is comprehensive and well thought out

many love to criticise him but during his era, Malaysia was truly and grudgingly admired even by the little red dot

it is quite pathetic that some commenters expect you to be anti-govt

Even with the current situation and controls, we have a 'civil society' showcase where a fellow with long hair and blue T-shirt behaving like that in a dialogue.

And if your idea of free media has 'spin' as the foundation - you are indeed on the right track after all. No one can beat you at the spins you churn nowadays.

By the way - you referred us to an article in Agenda Daily. The same media has photos of you (click http://www.agendadaily.com/cms/content.jsp?id=com.tms.cms.article.Article_6115476f-cabec5bb-171b2460-9d19addf) .

And this guy who led the ruckus, he looks like your younger half too - when I see your own face in the Agenda Daily webpage above.

I suppose you and the Blogger Patriotik group are working overtime to ensure your payback to BN is delivered - after you got back your job at Malay Mail.

No wonder, you do not want to comment specifically on that guy's behaviour, but instead want to link it to an avoided confrontation between him and the Indians.

Why dont you admit lah, that you have been entrusted with takin the lead on spinning against Pakatan Rakyat?

And meanwhile the Federal government is still allowing more special draws where it is suspected that proceeds go to finace creation of frog ADUNs in PR controlled states.

No one seems to march to the Finance Ministry with cow heads for allowing such special draws.!!!

Well, the cows seem to choose which type of protest they want to be in?

Special draws bring in haram money -ok, so no need to participate.

But smell and sounds from a temple 300 meters away do upset the 'sane' behaviour of some residents - and that requires a cow to get involved.

What civil society is this bro?

Korang bayangkanlah kalau pokok tu berada didepan rumah korang….

They just simply turn anything esp. tree or busut into their shrine & almost anywhere.

As opposed to surau/masjid, it is properly planned in development plan – u can see clearly ka now vinnan!!

    Rocky,

CEO of a big company can have so much power and authority on his subordinates but the CEO of the most richest state (MB) is totally opposite in that he is not blessed with that kind of privilege.

MB's function is to serve the state and peoples' interest but not his party goal and interest. There are so much balancing act to be done wisely between governing with iron hand; rules of law; and peoples first.

No point being arrogant in this issue. However he should consider himself lucky as he can still learn the right formula from Najib.

    Pakatan brothers!

Pak lah the PM that you idiots wanted to stay on, looks like he has an advise for your Khalid and his State Governmetn.

    Read this!!

KEPALA BATAS, Sept 6 (Bernama) -- The Selangor government should have resolved the Shah Alam temple relocation issue much earlier to avoid racial tension, former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.

He said the state government should realise that delay in resolving the relocation of Sri Maha Mariamman temple from Section 19 ke Section 23 would lead to trouble.

"I read in newspapers that the Menteri Besar said the Selangor government will find a new location for the temple. This should have been done much earlier," he said after presenting scholarships and hampers in conjunction with Aidilfitri here on Sunday.

Abdullah said media reports on the demonstration by Section 23 residents in Shah Alam showed that racial ties were not good and that there were religious problems.

Religious issues should be resolved amicably otherwise it would lead to strong reaction and cause tension among the people, he added.

Masih berbakikah pahala puasa orang2 yg mengaku islam tapi memaki2 saudara sesama Islam? dimana polis? kenapa tak hadir walaupun setelah dijemput oleh MBSA? penguatkuasaan terpilih ke?

Dah syarat PKNS semua projek pembinaan kena ada 60% melayu. habis kalau dah rata2 projek PKNS je kat kawasan tengah shah alam nih, org bukan islam nak beribadat kat mana? dlm hutan? Aku pun tak suka kuil dekat dgn rumah, tapi adakah jika kuil terletak depan rumah aku akan menyebabkan runtuh akidah aku? insyaallah tidak. cuba fikir jika org Islam pulak jadi kaum minority. adakah kita suka dilayan seperti ini? Ingatlah doa orang2 yg dizalimi dimakbulkan Allah walaupun dia bukan Islam..

Thanks for putting up the link.

I obviously read MM's take but what I was looking forward to was your comments on her piece....agree, disagree, analysis of reasons why we do the things we do etc.

Thought that it would have been helpful is understanding what we are today and why. From a non political angle of course, if that is possible.

Yo! S23 guys, now that's what i call sayin' it to the face! Keep it up guys and maybe (maybe lah) one day the stooooopid Pakatan (not fit to be) leaders and it's wayward followers will sit and think... Yeah, what the residents said were right, we ARE exactly the mirror image of the hurled abuses because we SCREWED UP Big Time and in fact we can't govern. So we will just give back the responsibilities to BN and fade away.

Real world justice is on it's way...

Here's a taste of 'democracy' for the Menteri Besar.

    Nice isn't it?

So, is the ISA still necessary or does YB Khalid wish he could just lock up the residents and throw the key away?

It's your baby, YB. You rock it.

I am not surprised you dont feel ashamed about the cow head being spat upon and kicked upon.
But is is not the local culture of this nation to do that.
This kind of behaviour speaks VOLUMES of the kind of people who did it.
I as a Malaysian am TRULY ASHAMED.
No religion teaches such DISRESPECT even to ANIMALS.
This is what i am saying has gone around the world and it TOO LATE.
Only the RESPONSE by the authorities will ensure if our maruah is redeemed.
Please jitraguy dont be happy about this incident just becos some fellows with muslim names did it.
No,you must assess it based on the purity and the goodness of the religion you are following.
Dont get sidetracked by whats happenning in Somalia, LEBONAN or Palestine. If you can go there and do something BUT you are here in Malaysia and two WRONGS dont make a right.

This is what we get when everyboby like to play like a hero....!!!

remember all the street protesters, HINDRAF, DAPigs demos when they like to have a political mileage on certain issues? It've been too long and the malays are watching too long silently.
so you like it or not, my personal thinking is that the malays are starting to show that they will not be silent anymore. It shows how frustrated they are and this is the first time they react like that since I don't know..maybe 2004,05,06 or since March 2008. You like it or not..when you try to play fire..you'll get a fire!!

If everybody like to live happily in this country..so do behave yourself...you should start thinking.."what have I done" rather keep accusing malays like that, chinese like this, Indian like this like that..it is still not too late to realise.

End of the day..we need each others for the benefit of the country.

I think the angry SS 23 residents were polite enough. This issue were not new. But the PR gov of Selangor has this notion that the residents would be stupid enough and just swallow whatever the great government of PR tell them to take.

But the PR gov was wrong. And they are dead wrong. These SS23 residents had to resort to the yelling and protesting. They were provoked.

My request before you publish anything regarding whatever issue (now the focus is on Section 23), is that :-

    1) Kindly do not look only at the surface of the matter. It has more layers than what was being portrayed by the media or by people of interest.

    2) Study why the residents at Section 19 'demanded' the removal of the said temple & why the impact on the said temple (socially, physically &mentally), the lack of action & the biaseness by those elected thereof has angered the residents of Section 23. We have lived in peace & harmony with other residents from other races & beliefs (spiritual or political) for the past 4 years before the said elected officials suddenly dumps 'this matter' into our so-called laps....this is not a political ploy nor just a religious issue...it is more than that.

    3) After doing 1) & 2) then put yourself in our shoes , how would you react if the same thing were to happen to you? Or would it be the case of 'calling the kettle black'...(if that is the right term)...

    4) Study the Quran & Hadiths properly and as a whole, not partially just to prove your point.

    5) Finally my deepest apologies for everything I've said, Maaf Zahir & Batin & Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Puasa.

WALLAHU’ALAM.

This is a democracy country..if the majority do not want it..just accept it & respect it..be civilized..in democracy only what the majority speaks and thought counts..but here in Malaysia, the minority can bitch out so loud like uncivilized savages and yet wanted their every demand fullfilled..what kind of standard do these pendatang adopt & belong to?

if they still failed to understand the priciple of democracy, better just migrate to any 3rd world country which include their very own motherland..3rd class mentality thinking they're the 1st class yet failed to adhere to any world systems..

Go find & build the temple in your own majority hindu area...

as for the kandang babi..go build it in the majority babi eater area..

..so simple..only idiot cannot think about it rationally..

Only fucking opportunist racist in Fuckatan complicate those simplest things and the melayu pariah being the cowhead leader just endorsed it blindly..
the kepala lembu do fit their head very well...

Next time it should be implemented that all Parliment & ADUN seats should be represented by the majority race in that respective area..why need to give so much faces to these chingkies & hindulens?

The majority themselves bend the democracy rules in order to accomodate those ungrateful fucking bastards pendatangs as a shown of Malays gesture of tolerances & yet they spit, insulted and step our head in return...

this should be put to a stop pretty soon before thing gone beyond control..no i'm not talking about the minority.. i'm worried about what would happen when the majority already put to the limit and retaliated..it would be just like a tsunami wave that would drown everything opposing its passes and streams..that includes the melayu pariahs.. it just take a few neutrons to trigger a chain reaction for a nuclear explosion..
so start counting the blessing coz your days probably already start to be numbered..

p/s: what else.. Kuil Negeri, Gereja Negeri, Tokong Negeri beside Masjid Negeri? and next XXXXX Negara if PR become Fed govt..in the name of FREEDOM WITHOUT A SYSTEM..? cannot be DEMOCRACY, coz it is a SYSTEM FOR MAJORITY..these politicians are bunch of kindy drop out..too bodoh to understand these! Hi. My name is Isaac. I’m an Indian. I’m a Christian. I’m also a resident in Section 23. I would like to say a few words regarding this issue, if I may. I read somewhere that states that ‘there was no Chinese tionghua at the said dialogue ‘…I beg to differ because my friend, who is Chinese, went to the meeting and so does a few other Chinese who oppose to the relocation of the said temple.
As for me, I admire the courage of my Malay neighbours who stands up for their rights as well as the Indians who stood their ground & request to have a temple that is close to their house. If the state government would offer to build a church of my belief, I’d jump for joy as well.
However, after much deliberation, a few of the neighbours of the Buddhism faith & Christianity (including yours truly) decided not to attend the said dialogue not because we are afraid to or were intimidated as suggested by certain quarters but out of respect to both parties involved in this dispute, i.e. the Malays and the Indians of Section 23, Shah Alam. Neither the Indians nor the Malays of Section 23 requested for the said temple to be relocated here but now they are at opposing side just because the state government deemed that Section 23 is ‘a strategic place’ for the relocation and somehow managed to ‘skipped certain requirements needed’ for the said relocation. After being pressured by the residents and ngo’s and receiving a letter from the Ruler of Selangor (aired by tv3 if I’m not mistaken) only then the state government succumbs & decided to hold an open dialogue with the residents. Alas, by then, the damage was severe and as they say, ‘all hell broke loose’. No pun intended.
My personal opinion is that, this issue could have been handled differently & wisely from the beginning from the yang berhormats’ namely, yb Rodziah & yb Khalid. However, they played ‘a cat & mouse game’ with the residents particularly with the Malays (not to mention lying to the residents on more than one occasion) and ‘sweet coated’ their talk with the Indians and the head priest of the said temple.
After a few months, this issue has taken a new turn and erupted & snowballed into the infamous demonstration by the Malays due to the lack of effort from both the yang berhomats’.
My wish is that outsiders do not view this issue from the political point of view nor the religious point of view because we, the residents of Section 23 are getting along beautifully with each other regardless of gender, race or religion. To the yang berhormats, please ensure that your duty to the public is upheld above your personal interest or political agenda. Also, stop seeing every little issue as a ‘political issue’ which clearly shows how mature our politicians and their followers are. No pun intended here either.
    Thank you.

To the Muslims who loves to sing the ‘toleransi song’, WOULD you be singing the same ‘toleransi song’ should the govt decides to relocate the said temple or any other worshipping place for that matter to your residential area or WOULD YOU BE SINGING A DIFFERENT TUNE ALTOGETHER???

Maaf Zahir Batin. Semoga kita mendapat hidayah & perlindungan dari ALLAH YANG MAHA ESA. INSYAALLAH. Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.

Hi. I’m Isaac. My friends kept asking me about the site for the temple in my housing area (Section 23) & I’ve told them. They came. They saw. They make their own assessment. Now, I’d like to make an open invitation to all Malaysians regardless of religion, political party or race to come here and have a look at the location that was earlier approved by the Exco’s. The direction is very simple. Upon entering Section 23, you will see the electrical shop, Seng Heng on your right; you turn left into Jalan Bonus. At the end of Jalan Bonus, there’s a t-junction & you make another left turn. You won’t miss it. The trees of the said location were recently cut down by pkns after the ‘fiasco’ at mbsa. Maybe then, others will understand why the Malays and Hindus of Section 23 acted the way they did.
Lastly, I’d like to wish all my Muslim friends a merry raya & have a wonderful holiday ahead. May we continue to live in peace & harmony. Amen.
