Anwar returns to Permatang Pauh

Updated 6.15 pm
PAS vice president Husam Musa says Anwar's victory will affect Abdullah Badawi's chances in Umno's election this December. Read his full statement here.

It's confirmed! Anwar Ibrahim will contest the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat, which will be vacated by his wife. Azizah, who improved her winning margin to over 13,000 votes in March this year compared with only 590 votes in 2004, has submitted her resignation to the Parliament Speaker today.
Permatang Pauh is in Penang, the home state that Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi lost to the DAP-PKR-PAS coalition during the General Election. A victory in Permatang Pauh, which is 99.99 % certain, will put Anwar back in Parliament after exactly 10 years.

The Election Commission must call for a by-election in 60 days.

  1. My only worry is that he will be stopped by whatever means. I am sure he will be charged within the next two days. This is how afraid the UMNO are. They will not dare to face challenge head on.

    Dear Rocky,

Any news on WHEN the by-election would take place?

This is already August, so that means Anwar has only over a month to keep his promise of taking over.

    Sincerely,

Azizah is a good wife for being loyal to her husband, even though Anwar is a crook person.

My guess is within the few days later Anwar will be charge for his sodomy case. That is where saiful will merge out to give his sworn to the Quran.

If Anwar is found guilty for sodomy case, I guess they will have a bad fight. So sad.

  11. To me, it is just a way for Anwar to realise his political comeback. why do we need him to bring a new dawn to Malaysia. Lets not forget, he was part of the system and there are many who will bear testament tom this. Why cant he operate from the curtains and just be the adviser to the party. No need for him to stand for elections and prove his political resurrection. His wife is more than capable and he has his the support from most Malaysians that seek justice, fairness and for a better Malaysia. He will be stopped from achieving this no doubt and will cause severe turmoil for the country. Lets just hope that we dont bear the consequences for his ambitions! God Bless Us all and my hope is for a peaceful Malaysia and not the realisation and dream of one man!

within few days, he will be facing his own doom for committing sodomy towards saiful. I don't need this kind of leader to rule my beloved country. Get lost Anwar!!

how cunning.. he knew that the police will complete the "sodomy" investigation soon and this is an opportunity for him to stage another drama. The plot is really simple but effectve. He annouced that he will contest for the election, and when the AG decide to charge him.. -walla- "this is their desperate attempt to stop me from contesting... bla..bla.." then all the sympaty will pour in and The US will once again condemn this so call undemocratic decision.. hampeh!

  15. Anwar is going to get trouble doing this. Azizah sacrificed too much in letting him to take her seat. She is a good woman being loyal to her husband. Great compliments for her actions, not for Anwar.

A selfish, toruble making and a puppet of the US Anwar should be just sent to ISA for detention.

Why Permatang Pauh after all the gangho talk around town? No other PKR MP giving away their seat? YB Wan Azizah shouldnt resigned from her seat at all because the Rakyat choose her and she is a very capable person.
To me no matter what people said good about Anwar, he still hide behind his wife legacy. He was not even a PKR member and all PKR members think that he is GOD.

i think Anwar has longggg planned for this.the country is in chaos and he's taking this opportunity to get his way to the parliament.but the question will he be able to contest for the PM position?also if he succeed in taking over the federal govt then will the country turn for better or worse?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anonymous6:00 pm

The by-election in Permatang Pauh is a win-win situation for Anwar. If the police arrest him within the next 48 hrs, Anwar will use this as an issue to humiliate Pak Lah and UMNO. Even if Anwar is arrested under ISA, he can still contest and will win by even a bigger majority. Now the whole country is wondering how UMNO and Pak Lah will react. Will UMNO send someone lik Ezam to contest the by-election, and pour in tons and tons of money just to buy people's vote? Or maybe UMNO will concede a walk over. In this case, there is some damage control. Whatever it is, Anwar is now on his way back to parliament, the latest by 30 Sept assuming the EC drags its feet in calling for a by-election on the instructions of Pak Lah. Anwar need not have to worry about not keeping the 16 Sept deadline, as the minute he enters parliament by 30 Sept at the latest, the defections from BN/UMNO will take place and he may even be the next PM of a Pakatan federal govt.

    Bertindak atas kebenaran.

    Ini hukum Allah.

    Sekian.

  33. Going by the official media report, in all probability the Solicitor General will decide to charge Anwar for sodomy much sooner than later. Anwar and his advisors probably got wind of the bad news coming their way, that is probably why Azizah is resigning as MP today instead of waiting for the Kulim byelection. If Anwar is charged, I am sure this case will go to court very fast as this is of very public interest.

Yes and I agree with many commentators that Anwar is trying desperately to save himself but in the process he will be dragging this coutry through mud and humiliating us as well. Such a selfish self serving person like Anwar is not the kind of person I would want to lead the nation.

Also, I am not so looking forward to the outcome of the Permatang Pauh by-election if the Election Commission calls it in 60 days time. At that time, Anwar could have been charged, probably released on bail as this is not a murder case and then fight the by election, wins, go to parliament as MP all this while the purported court case is still active.

    GOD Save Malaysia.

Datin Seri azizah has admitted she would relinquish her position because of the huge responsibilites she is shouldering rite now would be better burdened by her husband.

on april 15th, the pkr governed states were barely 2 months old and so DSAI felt he would serve more efficiently in the capacity of an advisor. thats why he didnt want to contest for a seat ASAP.

and untuk haprak yg kate dia tu kaki liwat. ko sedar tak tuhan akan mengadili ko untuk penfitnahan. medical report pun dah keluar and kate saiful tak disontot. kalau tak caya jugak, tunggu sampai habes investigation.

    'Oil will fall to $80'
    Tom Ashby
    Last Updated: July 29. 2008 11:57PM UAE / July 29. 2008 7:57PM GMT
The president of Opec Chakib Khelil (R) with Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Indonesia's energy minister. His comments reinforce a shift in sentiment on global energy markets. Reuters

Oil prices should fall to US$70 to $80 a barrel in the long term if geopolitical tensions over Iran ease and the dollar stages a recovery, the president of Opec said today.

The bearish projection by Chakib Khelil, of Algeria, reinforces a shift in sentiment on global energy markets since prices peaked at close to $150 a barrel on July 11. They have already fallen by more than $20, or 16 per cent, from the high.
“The price today is abnormal at $123 a barrel,” said Mr Khelil during a trip to Indonesia. “If the dollar continues to strengthen and the political situation [regarding Iran] improves, then the long-term price will be about $78,” he added.

Only a month ago, Mr Khelil said oil prices could reach $170 a barrel.

Lehman Brothers, the American investment bank, has added to the bearish tone with a forecast that crude prices would break below $100 by the end of the year because of concerns that high prices and slowing economic growth are hitting demand.
Crude oil futures for September delivery fell $1.49, or 1.2 per cent, to $123.24 a barrel in early trade in New York yesterday.

The dollar has weakened by 13 per cent against the euro in the past year, but has staged a modest rally in the past few weeks.

“A stronger dollar translates into weaker crude,” said Tom Bentz, a broker at BNP Paribas in New York. “The market is still kind of in this downwards trend here in the short term, and is having trouble turning back up.”
Oil prices are still 60 per cent higher than one year ago.

Opec has consistently said it has no hand in the rise in oil prices above $100 a barrel, blaming the spike on speculators, the weak dollar, instability in Iraq and Iran, and a lack of refining capacity.

“The current price isn’t connected at all to supply and demand, because we cannot explain changes of $20 in one day or two days only due to supply and demand,” Mr Khelil said. “Supply and demand doesn’t change in one day.”
Mr Khelil declined to say how Opec would respond to falling prices, but added that supply was meeting demand for oil, and the market was balanced.

“We are not worried about any price, because we don’t decide the price. We just meet the demand,” he said.

Opec, which supplies more than 40 per cent of the world’s oil and two-thirds of exports, meets in Vienna on Sept 9 to review output after freezing its production ceiling at its past three meetings in December, February and March.
Indonesia is Opec’s only member in the Asia-Pacific region, but has announced plans to leave the organisation because its production has slumped and it now imports more than it exports.

The nation’s energy minister, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, said Indonesia had not yet officially submitted documents to withdraw from Opec, but added the country’s interests were no longer in line with the exporters’ group.

    Anonymous,
Let us all wish Anwar a safe journey to Parliment, it will be a rough journey with the current world most corrupted party in power and Malaysian police are well known as the most corrupted and most untrustworthy. The police, PM, DPM, HM, AG and IGP are now sleepless trying to come up with a case to put Anwar away. The sodomy case from Saifool may not hold water, so they will now look at other ways. You can bet your bottom dollar the police will arrest Anwar in the next two days just to prevent him from going to Parliment. The HKL medical report on Saifool will be a totally fabricated document with drum up evidence. With a good for nothing AG who licks badawi's backside to stay on the job will surely find a way to lock Anwar up till the by election is over.
The electorate must show Badawi how big an idiot he is and vote for PR no matter who stands against Give BN your middle finger and not your vote, that is what the shit PM deserves.

I bet he already got wind of impending charge so this is one way of getting more political mileage. Almost guaranteed he will say the charge and/or arrest is meant to derail his political plans.

But seriously, if he expects us to believe that just because he has declared intention to contest in permatang pauh makes him untouchable or that the process of justice must take a back seat...is ridiculous as well.

What does dsai and his supporters expect? For police to wait for him to win first? For him to get MPs to cross over n then become pm? If that happens n assuming he is guilty if sodomy, what's the chances that police will be able to charge him then???

No. The investigation process must go on regardless of this latest development. If they have enuf evidence then by all means proceed, before its too late.

So WAn Azizah won 560 votes in 2004. In 2008 about 12500 people in Permatang Pauh hate Badawi enough to vote for this housewife.

So Permatang Pauh, if it goes to the elections, tunkjukkanlah kami jika kamu benar-benar percaya Anwar bukan peliwat, berlindunng dengan sistem pengundian untuk untuk meraih simpati Amerika, yakni lebih baik ada orang macam ini dari Badawi sebagai ketua anda.

If Anwar has been a sodomite, wouldn't this have come out into the open with rumours and poison pen letters, (knowing umno's style of backstabbing) in his rise to asscendacy in UMNO, all those years ago when he took on ghafaar baba. why only in 1998? PREFERRANCE for anal sex does not grow overnight it starts with childhood/PUBERTY, now all the time DSAI was climbing never has there been any such accusations why only when he took on Mahathir? any comments?

Sorry brother Rocky, I don’t share the view that ISA is worse than US. The view of prominent Islamic scholars - the US equates Dajjal, the liar who deceives by giving food to the needy on one hand and the next exterminate them by the millions, all in the name of greater freedom and liberty. The US even has an approved program by Congress to propagate, disseminate falsehood, fabricate and spin world wide to achieve their multiple objectives in bringing the world under its hegemony. You can’t even make love or talk freely without being ears dropped or monitored. Under its constitution, the US allows homosexuality which is protected by its liberty rights while we believers would shun such thoughts in our country. The inhuman cruelties committed under Guatanamo prison and its rendition programmes, the acceptance of the many killings of the innocence deem as collateral damage under smart precision bombs is pure nonsense. These are just among the numerous debauchery acts committed by the US. What about the oil, financial and commodity speculators centred in the US that have ravished the lives of millions hard working people world wide including us. Thus the ISA is peanuts while we must admit some unfortunate incidents have happened. The Us are also the perpetrators under the guise of human rights without borders licking DSAI’s …..

Ok… We have Pak Lah, Najib, KuLi and Mahyuddin in UMNO. KuLi and Mahyuddin may not make it because of their system.
In Opposition side we have Anwar who has managed to get good results for opposition. Most opposition leaders both in DAP and PAS are willing to accept him as their representative to lead the federal government. Anwar also has been promising good governance.

  75. Malaysia's legal pursuit of Anwar Ibrahim is destroying the country's
    reputation

    John Berthelsen

It is about time for Malaysia to drop the charade. Attempting to convict
opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim of forcible sodomy is an embarrassment in
contrast with the completely ignored and much more serious allegations
linking the deputy prime minister to the execution-style murder of his
    reputed former girlfriend.

As has been reported widely, two sworn declarations have been filed that
raise reasonable suspicions that the October 2006 murder of Mongolian woman
Altantuya Shaariibuu is tied directly to Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun
Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor. Yet instead of this high profile
politician being in the dock to explain himself, one of those who filed a
sworn declaration about his actions is about to go on trial for criminal
libel. The other was dragooned into recanting his statement before he fled
    the country.

The courts and the legal system have deliberately overlooked allegations of
Najib's complicity in the Mongolian woman's murder, and considerable
related evidence of massive corruption on his part in the purchase of three
French submarines for the Malaysian military - a purchase that Altantuya
apparently participated in as a translator.
This has been pushed under the carpet repeatedly and now the nation is
being distracted by accusations of Anwar's peccadilloes, real or
    fabricated.

Mahathir Mohammad, the long-serving prime minister who quit in 2002, had a
single ambition - to reach developed-nation status by 2020. But you cannot
be a first-world country with a legal system whose main characteristics are
shared by the likes of Zimbabwe, Burma and North Korea. Mahathir, of
course, bears a major part of the blame for the legal system, starting from
his destruction of the judiciary in the 1980s. But what is going on now,
six years after he was succeeded by Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, is nothing more
than the United Malays National Organisation's manipulation of the system
    a
la Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe. This has nothing to do with ideology but with
the dubious necessity of maintaining a political party in power.

When the legendary American bank robber Willie Sutton once was asked why he
robbed banks, he famously replied: "That's where the money is."
Government in Malaysia is where the money is, and that is where UMNO
intends to stay despite its disastrous March 8 election results, which cost
the national ruling coalition the two-thirds hold on parliament it has
enjoyed for half a century. There is no better example of this than the
submarine and its ties to the murder of Altantuya.

As Asia Sentinel has repeated frequently, according to testimony in the
trial of Altantuya's accused murderer Abdul Razak Baginda, her then-lover
and one of the three men accused of killing her, the murdered woman
accompanied him to Paris at a time when Malaysia's defense ministry,
    headed
by Najib, was negotiating through a Malaysian company, Perimekar Sdn Bhd,
to buy two Scorpene submarines and a used Agosta submarine produced by the
French government under a French-Spanish joint venture, Armaris. Perimekar
at the time was owned by a company called Ombak Laut, which was wholly
    owned by Abdul Razak.

The contract was not competitive. The Malaysian ministry of defense paid €1
billion (RM4.5 billion) to Amaris for the three submarines, for which
Perimekar received a commission of €114 million (RM510 million). Deputy
Defense Minister Zainal Abdidin Zin told the Dewan Rakyat, Malaysia's
parliament, that the money was paid for "coordination and support
    services"
although the fee amounted to a whopping 11 percent of the sales price for
    the submarines.

Altantuya, by her own admission in the last letter she wrote before her
murder, had been blackmailing Razak, pressuring him for US$500,000. She did
not say how she was blackmailing him, leaving open lots of questions.

Myriad questions have been raised by the year-long trial of Razak and two
of Najib's bodyguards for Altantuya's murder. At every turn, those
questions could have been answered by calling Najib to the stand How could
Razak, a civilian and Najib's closest friend, get the two bodyguards to
kill Altantuya without Najib's knowledge? Najib could answer. How could
    the
record of the victim being in the country disappear completely from
Immigration Department records, as was sworn in court? Najib could answer.
How could the murderers get their hands on the plastic explosives available
only to the military used to blow up her body? Najib could answer. Why did
neither the prosecution nor the defense push to investigate a statement
made by Altantuya's cousin on the stand that she had seen a picture of
Najib, Razak and Altantuya together at a dinner? Najib could answer.

The statutory declaration of P Balasubramaniam, the private detective hired
by Razak to keep Altantuya away from him after their relationship had
ended, is so closely detailed that it beggars disbelief that it was
fabricated. It makes Najib an integral part of the case, something most of
Malaysia's top government and judicial officials have been seeking to
    avoid
    ever since the trial began.

Balsasubramaniam released his sworn statement in the company of his lawyer,
which makes it difficult to believe he was coerced. But immediately
afterward he was summoned to a meeting with an assistant superintendant of
police in Jalan Brickfields, where he was convinced
    - outside the presence of his lawyer that his memory was faulty. He
then signed a statement that his original one had been compelled, and left
    the country.

In the original declaration Balasubramaniam said Razak told him he had been
introduced to Altantuya "by a VIP...who asked him to look after her
financially." Najib, the declaration said, had introduced Razak to
Altantuya at a diamond exhibition in Singapore and that Najib had had a
sexual relationship with her in the past. Razak was to look after the woman
because Najib "did not want her to harass him since he was now the Deputy
    Prime Minister."

Is that true? Najib could answer.

Interestingly, according to the document, Razak told Balasubramaniam that
Altantuya liked anal sex, which is illegal in Malaysia whether performed
with men or women. Anwar might like to make that point to the authorities.

Balasubramaniam also detailed cell phone calls between Najib and Razak in
the period after Altantuya's murder. Did the police check Razak's
    phone?
    Najib could answer.

Raja Petra Kamaruddin, the influential internet journalist, is expected to
go on trial for criminal defamation for saying that Najib's wife was
present at the murder. Rather than bringing in Najib and Rosmah to answer
questions, they have gone after Raja Petra, who has threatened his own time
bombs during his trial. Asked by Asia Sentinel what those revelations might
be, he said he would prefer to save them for testimony under oath.

The one truly sad dupe in all this is the prime minister, Abdullah Ahmad
Badawi, who in all of his sorry reign as prime minister has largely
preserved his reputation for integrity despite his fecklessness. Badawi has
defended his deputy's reputation in the face of the fact that virtually
    all
of Kuala Lumpur's chattering classes have long since become convinced of
    the couple's complicity.
Unleashing two thoroughly corrupt law enforcement officials to go after
Anwar - Abdul Ghani Patail, the Attorney-General and Musa Hassan, the head
of the police, who plainly fabricated evidence in Anwar's 10-year-old
conviction on the same offense, is particularly egregious.

This isn't to say Anwar is innocent. The jury, to use a newly valid
    cliché,
is still out. But compare the two. What kind of priorities does this
government have in going after a 61-year-old opposition leader with a bad
back who presumably would have had a hard time chasing down a mobile
23-year-old aide, when there is the possibility of finding the true
perpetrators of an execution murder of a defenseless 28-year-old mother?
This is the behavior of a despotic system with an eye only to its own
preservation. The Malaysian people deserve better.

    -The Asia Sentinel-

hey Rocky... stand your ground... don't let the King-Homo-of-M'sian-sandiwara-bankrolled cyber-supporters wear you down.

like you and the ten 10 judges, along with the 2 judges who actually acquitted him, I'm convinced that he is indeed a homo.

in my case... it's a very simple deduction really.

you see, ever since the news first came out of his homosexual activities, way back in 1998, he has been twisting and turning his way around at every opportunity.

wah... the art of how to lie without lying.

however, despite all his trickery, until today there is only ONE thing he has never done... to claim his innocence.

I'm sure his payrolled cyber supporters would start coming out of the woodwork with their boss' denial of the charges... but, his denials have always been due to one conspiracy or another.

go google and this check out... not once did he ever claim his innocence, for the simple fact that he is innocent!

but, then again, knowing his passion for chicanery, I'm sure his King-Homo-of-M'sian-sandiwara-bankrolled cyber-supporters would come out with something like "innocent until proven guilty" or whatever.

anyway, whatever excuses that has been and will be given... isn't it instinctive for a human being to proclaim his/her innocence... well, at least, ONCE?

I'm sure his long-lost-but-united-again-lackey RPK have said that King-Homo-of-Malaysian-sandiwara took an oath saying that he did not sodomize Azizan (don't know if this is true or not and, most importantly, what kind of oath it was)... but, what about blowjobs?

there you go... the art of how to lie without lying.

when will he ever learn... tell one lie and soon enough not one truth would ever come from you... ever again!

and... for all his financial might, all of USD35 million, he will fail.

just try to do this... from now until the by-election, all mosques in Permatang Pauh should include a supplication, before and after their Friday prayers, to save the community from being lead by a follower of the people of Lot.

by the will of Allah... all should be fine.

Bodohnya rakyat Malaysia!

    4. Perjuangan "US Stooge" = "Flip Flop PM"

    Persamaan di antara kedua-duanya:

    * Kedua-duanya "flip flop", suka berbohong dan memutar belitkan kenyataan.
    * Perjuangan keluarga dan anak beranak melebihi perjuangan rakyat.
    * Kedua-duanya boneka. Satu boneka Singapura dan satu lagi boneka US.
    * Kedua-dua berlagak alim, tapi perangai ....
    * Kedua-dua berasal dari Pulau Pinang. Hanya berani masuk gelanggang dekat kampung sendiri sahaja.
    * Kedua-duanya masih merasakan mendapat sokongan rakyat, tanpa menyedari ramai yang telah muak.

Amin.

Lots of people have expected this to happen, is he so lame and predictable now? May be it was a desperate move, or may be it was carefully planed move. Now we wait for other side to make a move.

Yes, he'll win the election, most pundit would have said so. But that not where the biggest question mark is.

There is one point I would like to raise. Apparently according to the Federal Constitution, any Member of Parliament who resigns, vacating his or her seat will be barred from contesting in any Parliamentary seat for five years from the date of her resignation. This would mean Azizah would not be able to put her face on a Parti Keadilan Rakyat poster for the next five years or until July 31, 2013. One out of the way. Next is Anwar, if he is charged and convicted for more than two years (I think it is two years or two months...I am not sure), then he too can't make an active comeback into politics for five years after communting his sentence. This would mean he too would have to take a back seat and bid his time. Both husband and wife out of the game. Then who would lead PKR...maybe Nurul! While some people say that Anwar played his trump card...I am not so sure. He and his wife might have just shot themselves on the foot. It might have been better if Anwar picked another seat. Al least he would have Azizah in Parliament while languishing in some cell or goes through the trial process. Now sapa pon tak dak!

I am not partial to conspiracy theories either, being an engineer by profession.

But in my industry there is something called empirical data - information that is derived from the trials and errors of experience.

And that is what I draw my conclusions from. Not merely on the previous, almost identical accusation only ten years ago, but by the consistent political bias in their actions.

The Malaysian public has been privy to a wide range of experiences. From mattresses being toted to court, to fixing of judges, the sudden withdrawal of the indelible ink during elections (over vague hearsay), the ludicrous charges against HINDRAF.

Twenty-nine men for attempted murder of one man??

There is no credibility associated with the government. In fact, I believe the Malaysian public has arrived beyond the ability to be shocked anymore.

Personally, I'm at the point where I believe:
    1) Anything can be fabricated.
    2) Anything can be dismissed.

It just depends whose side of the fence one is on.

Forgive me if I don't believe in judicial decisions, police investigations or official announcements anymore.

Dear public prosecutor, with all due respects to your observations I think you are either just too naive or you are one of those trojan horses sent in to make such "buy low sell high" motherhood statements. I'm sorry it won't work these days. The rakyat have been had for too long to fall for such BLSH motherhood statements. I'm no AI fan nor admirer but I think what we need is a person like AI to stand up against these bastards. He has the experience & the charisma to deal with the devils. And you are right, because he had been one of them for so long he will know their weak points and strengths. Right now we need a leader like that to put the nation back on track. Given the rotten situation that we are in today there is just no down side. We'll rather deal with AI later than continue with the present bunch of leeches sucking up each drop of Malaysian blood. So if you think otherwise that's your naive observations. As the Chinese saying goes "you don't feel the pain unless it's your flesh that gets pricked by the needle". So if that is the case then you must be one of those trojan horses who have not felt the pain because you are also one of those damned leeches that have been feeding on our blood!

    damn it you Malaysians!

i'm sick of your typical Malaysians idiotic thinking..can u see that Anwar is lying to your face all these times?I'm not from your country but i've been here long enough to love this country as my own. Great leaders (as your forefathers) are people that can gather supports from rakyat by spreading their national spirits, unity and harmonies among the rakyat. But Anwar clearly gather his supports by planting hatred in the heart of every races so you guys can hate and kill each other..

damn it you guys! Ur forefathers worked very hard to gained independence and built a unique and lovely country with various races..And all these are from the understanding, national spirits, and respect among every races that are spread by your forefathers. Anwar however managed to destroy all that in a record time..He openly asked you Indians and Chinese to hate the Malays when they did absolutely nothing to you guys. And he even asked you Malays to hate other races by saying that your rights as bumiputras are useless and it does not give you any benefits. If you Malays agree with him, than supports him because i am dying to received the same benefits as the Bumiputras! Anwar clearly insulted your forefathers and ur country's constituitions which are the foundations of your country. He openly asked for foreign supports to intervene with your country's law as if your country has no sovereignty at all and it's all for his own sake!!! Why asked foreign people to insult your country just because your homosexual behaviour??!!. Your country's sovereignty is what makes Malaysian's men an anak jantan because when you fight for your country, you are defending her sovereignty. IF you agree with him, you can be described as willing to let other people to rape your families. i agree that ur PM is a whimp but a lot of other people from the ruling government that can replace that old rag BUT you guys and your whole country will be damned if your country fall into the evil hand of anwar who have nothing but lies and hatred to gain power. And with all the scandals and the sodomy thing linked to Anwar, your country will be a joke to other countries even the third worlds if you are lead by this fag.

Along the streets of Malaysia, i've seen a lot of old people be it Chinese, Indians, Malays and other races sat together at coffee shops, laughed and cried about their fights for freedom alongside your country's warriors and forefathers more that 50 years ago..

Even stupid characters from a stupid movie (Harold and Kumar) realize YOU DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOUR GOVERNMENT, BUT BELIEVE IN YOUR COUNTRY. For someone who are willing to disposed your country for his own sake, anwar clearly didn't care about your country, he insulted her.And he only cares for power.Damn it you Malaysians! WAKE UP!

    Hi Bro,
Hj Kamaruddin said that we shouldn't accuse Anwar of Sodomy. But it is a fact that 10 Malaysian Judges after reviewing all the evidence agree that he engages in this act. Only two were in doubt about WHEN he sodomised his Driver. So for 8 judges he sodomises, for the other two he is an unscheduled sodomiser.

Hj Jamaludin on the other hand wants the whole Anwar family to be in PArliment. And this from a party that despises cronyism.

And for those who think he is an effective leader, well he is only effective when you piss him off. He was effective to get the world opinion united against TDM when he was sacked, he was effective in undermining the police when he got arrested, he was effective in creating doubt on the judiciary when they found him guilty but he was not effective in improving M'sian education when he was MInister of Education as the teeaches didn't piss him off, and was not effective during the financial crisis as Soros didn't take his money.
Face it, He is a Wanker.

    Dear Bro' Rocky,

For sure both of us will not be slotted in Permatang Pauh. No taker lah but don't suggest that Ezam should be pitted against Anwar as he has got many talents. Maybe we should consider Saiful, the alleged victim of the day!

If all these potential candidates are not up to Anwar's standard, then how about Pak Lah himself from Penang, or Khairy the adopted son of Penang. Now that Tun Dr Mahathir has declared war against UMNO, he could also be another credible independent candidate to challenge Anwar and save the people of Permatang Pauh for the sake of continued national development.UMNO should not question Anwar where he should stand or boast that BN will have a good fight in Permatang Pauh. Poorah if BN has a chance, even with Wan Azizah pun kalah dua kali dengan perkiraan undi semula.

JUST GIVE ANWAR A WALK OVER AND STANDING OVATION AND EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY, INCLUDING THE WHOLE GLOBAL COMMUNITY AND ANWAR'S LOCAL AND FOREIGN CRONIES.LEAVE US ALONE AS LIFE HAS TO GO ON AND MALAYSIA DOES NOT BELONG TO AN INDIVIDUAL POLITICIAN LIKE ANWAR, PAK LAH, NAJIB, KU-LI OR TUN DR MAHATHIR.NOBODY WINS EXCEPT THE YANG DI PERTUAN AGONG WHO IS IN CONTROL WITH TUANKU'S DAULAT!

If the majority is just emotional about Anwar, then emotional is the trademark of Malaysia then, and we shall all become backward nations lingering on politics and bickering all year round. ROCKY,
This has been bugging me for a while, from way back the time that DSAI was charged the first time for sodomy. If Anwar has been a sodomite, wouldn't this have come out into the open with rumours and poison pen letters, (knowing umno's style of backstabbing) in his rise to asscendacy in UMNO, all those years ago when he took on ghafaar baba. why only in 1998? PREFERRANCE for anal sex does not grow overnight it starts with childhood/PUBERTY, now all the time DSAI was climbing never has there been any such accusations why only when he took on Mahathir? any comments?

artic, accusations against Anwar being a sodomite started surfacing even before 1998. In fact the first people to openly accuse Anwar of such things are the PAS people, way back in 1995/6. One Mat Sabu famously refer to him as "Al Juburi". Also several writings in Tamadun magazine (same producers of Harakah) did indirectly make such references. However, it was not headline story cause Anwar was a DPM in the BN government. He also has strong allies in papers such as NST amd Berita Harian and TV3, thus being in a position to clamp down such allegations from spreading. I believe many life long PAS supporters are not entirely convinced that Anwar is straight, and that perhaps explains why PAS Deputy President, Nasarudin recently being quoted as saying many Malay are starting to believe the accusations(most likely refering to Malays in PAS)... Also similar rumours surfaced in Singapore much earlier before Mahathir decided to accuse and sack DSAI.

Also, there were plenty of allegations although not publicly sensationalised that surfaces 3-4 years before his sacking, some journalist from those days can probably testify to that cause its circulating widely amongst them journalist... Also people who know police higher ups would probably heard about it earlier as well, circa 1995. Mahathir himself was told about it in 1997 but dismiss it only to start believing in it in mid 1998.

Hope that shed some light on your curiosity and put the record straight,...though this is not at all suggesting that DSAI is guilty of the allegations.
