GHANI GUNS DOWN GUNA'S CASINO

P. Gunasegaram can take his "2nd casino" idea elsewhere because Johor Menteri Besar Ghani Othman WILL NOT ALLOW a casino built in Danga Bay or anywhere else in the state.

In his article ("We need another casino") carried in the latest issue of theEdge, the financial weekly whose major shareholders include gaming tycoon Vincent Tan, Guna bets all on the economic merits of a second casino even after admitting, at the onset of his article, that the idea of a second casino "may be strange one to make in a Malaysia which is increasingly assimilating Islamic values.."

Vincent Tan has also been accused of using theSun, theEdge's sister paper, to attack Selangor Menteri Besar Khir Toyo for shooting down his proposal to build a horse-racing turf in Bukit Tagar.

People familiar with the issue said Vincent claimed that the Sultan of Selangor had given him the royal consent to build the turf. Khir Toyo was said to have sought an audience with the Sultan the other day to seek a clarification.

Aiyyo Guna, you tak tahu kah semua agama banyak anti-gaming punya. Not just Islam you know. You dah baca kitab you ke belum ni?

Singapore you kira apa...banyak secular mah! Ini Malaysia Islam fundamental, ok?

Tak mahu percaya kalu, gua ingat you baik bawak you punya casino idea ke India sana. See if they support you or not. India pun bukan main ramai middle class dan diramalkan akan jadi the next China.

    Jangan tunggu lama-lama tau!

Rocky can you pass this to Jeff Ooi!

I have in my possession a treatise titled Incident of the Perak Outrage (if I am not mistaken) tis treatise is in my apartment somewhere. The treatise is a blow by blow account on the trial of those involved in the killng of Birch, of course it is totally British-biased. In it which remember, was a passage where two Orang Asli chieftains, one is Dato Boh and I cannot remember the other, were exiled to the then then crown colony of Hong Kong. In the transcript of the trial they were sent to Hong Kong. Imagine two Orang Asli chieftains sent tyo Hong Kong at that period of time? Most cruel of the British. And let not just focus on this Ngah person from S'pore, we should find out more about the fate of Dato Boh and his friend and try to find a proper closure of these two magnificent warrior. I am quite upset by the whole episode for the longest time, forgotten and now thinking about it again. These two Orang Asli chieftains must be given a proper recognition! I demand this!
