Nazir Razak for Prime Minister?!

Apa lagi Zaid mahu? Zaid mahu Nazir sebagai Perdana Menteri!

Guan Eng: More Malaysians should be like Nazir
BY OPALYN MOK JUNE 12 2013
Lim accuses Utusan of setting Malaysians against each other
as he happily pits Nazir against Najib and UMNO
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today commended Datuk Seri Nazir Razak for his outspokenness even as the CIMB Group boss continues to come under attack for defending AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman Rani for the same trait.
Lim urged Malaysians to emulate Nazir in speaking their minds despite the risk of backlash.
“I hope his brother Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak can be just as brave as him ” he said while condemning a news article in Utusan Malaysia that had labelled Nazir as “anti-Malay” for his praise of Azran. - TMI
CIMB big boss Nazir Razak is now, officially, the darling of Pakatan Rakyat. He is hailed as a new hero for coming out to praise AirAsiaX CEO Azran Osman Rani for his anti-Malay, anti-Umno stance. Nazir has even won the adoration of DAP's Lim Guan Eng, who urged Najib Razak to try and be as brave as his little brother, and Zaid Ibrahim.

Some will ask if there is more than meets the eye.

The one certainty is the label of “kacang lupakan kulit” will stick forever. Many will say he is where he is today because he benefited from NEP, because he has strong ties in Umno and because of his linkages with the party top leadership. So, why is he so prepared to be seen as anti-Malay, anti-Umno and along with that, inflict the unkindest cut of them all on his own brother, the PM?

One theory is that Nazir is buying political insurance to stay relevant in the event of an "Ubah". Never mind that it could be by street violence. It has been said a corporate man is always keen to see an easier passage for his company or business's quest for profit, profit, nothing but profit. It does not matter who is the government of the day so long as he covers both sides. This sometimes can lead to spilling the beans to stay alive if there is a new power in Putrajaya.Today, given the political landscape, Nazir may be out to buy insurance. Even if the premium happens to show one is anti-Umno and anti-Malay by supporting Azran.

In the avalanche of criticisms against Nazir for biting the hand that fed him, many think he has become a liability to Umno and his own brother. Read Malay NGOs slam Najib's brother for backing AirAsia CEO.

Me, I think it is ok to massage the hand that may one day feed you but it is a betrayal to bite the hand that is still feeding you.

p.s. I hope Nazir doesn't get carried away by Guan Eng and Zaid's praises. We know they'll use anything and anyone to get at his brother.

    Bru,

The Razak bros don't get along la. It's no secret. Been reading with much amusement about Najib's advisors and war room penasihat. Let's put it this way. You can analyse ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING till the cows come home. But it is very obvious Kak Ros is the one that is wearing the pants AND calling the shots. JJ is around because of Kak Ros. JJ, that hamsap fella, introduced both of them (as in Kak Ros to her Adik Jib). Their ties go back long time. Takkan nak gugur cam tu je. Easier said than done. Easier to change the President of UMNO la. But then again headache. Siapa boleh take over. UMNO bleeding of talents. All synchopants and jadi ahli to get rich.

    Oh Dear.

if DAP supports Nazir, then there is something wrong with the whole idea ... don't forget that the opposition is always looking to weaken the current Government... the idea by Gerakan, MCA for UMNO to open up is also the idea by DAP...

Zaid doesn't care. He is just using Nazir to get at older brother Najib. But it won't work. Zaid needs to be more subtle and sound less vengeful. And you are spot on: if being rich, smart and having a stand are all it takes to be PM, he would have been PM a long time ago!

Please lah Nazir, you are not just another bank CEO. You happen to be the PM's brother too. Two reasons why they are now on your case. The Malay NGOs are whacking you and trying to get at your brother while the Zaids and the GuanEngs are insincerely praising you to force you and your brother at loggerheads.

The only minor setback is that Malaysia will also be run by chinese and Muzium Negara will be renamed Muzium Melayu.

    Salam bru,

What are you driving at when such a topic is thrown to public discourse? As far we know, Nazir has never been interested in politics unlike his brother Najib since they graduated from overseas. I recalled that Toh Puan Rahah did mentioned in one of her interviews when she was much younger, when Najib was appointed to the top political office, some 37 years ago, that "one son in politics is more than enough for the family".

I opined that Nazir will never go into politics as he is 101% banker and investor. I believe there are many Malays and bumiputras who are not keen to play active politics just for the sake of seeking political power! These modern Malays like the other Malaysian Chinese are practical young leaders of the future, including people like Omar, Zaki, Vincent and many other bright young Malaysians. Among the group of 7, only Khairy by coincidence of his marriage to Noni, Pak Lah's daughter was the only one playing power politics and today made it as a full minister without tutorialship of a deputy minister.

So don't expect Nazir who is being paid more half a million RM per month will be attracted to even be appointed as the Finance Minister! What are you talking about? Prime Minister? Absurd and pure speculation!

this is my take on the 3 jokers:-

Zaid : What a sore loser and a quitter. You quit UMNO when things doesnt go your way. You quit PKR for the same reason and you quit your own Party also for the same reason. You are a big fat cry baby. You try so hard to tell the world that ur success has nothing to do with NEP when the whole world knows in the past almost all big govt deals went to ur firm.

Nazir: Wow. Now you are the true elitist and aristo. Just dont waste your time trying to justify CIMB success is attributeable to you. Yes it is attributable to you. You are the factor for CIMB for recent success. However it is not because of your skills and knowledge, but it is because of the apparent connection that you have. Which is a very influential one. And again everyone knows before the rise of Najib's, big govt financial deals went to Maybank, CIMB only get awarded with big govts deals after Najib took over the govt. So dont be deluded.

Lim Guan Eng: The spinmaster. The world's biggest hypocrites. You gave me a good laugh when you talk about people's speaking their minds and commending them for their so-called bravery. It tickles me knowing that you led a party that always issued gag orders, and your ex party members complaints about they receiving death threat for speaking their minds. And one more thing, is your party the one that endorsing a version of 13 May events that blaming and accusing Tun Abdul Razak for orchaestrating the tragedy? you.endorsing.Tun Razak's son? you endorsing the son that staged 13May? what an irony.

Its not bru who wanted Nazir's as Prime Minister. He just disposing his nature as a Journalist by highlighting what Zaid Ibrahim wanted.

To elevate Nazir's as a Prime Minister, of which bru himself questioned the sincerity of such statement from Zaid (that Zaid trying to pit Nazir's with Najib)..

So, I do not understand your motives on questioning Rocky Bru's message in this post?

    Answer: No

At least they will never get the footing and privileges they needed to begin with. And of course, some govt businesses to sustain the growth.

And as always they think they are what they are because of how intelligent and hard working they are.

    Dato'

I think about time that you stop blogging about PM and his croonies, consultants, advisors, wife, brothers, kitchen cabinets, et all.

Najid is almost history. He still believe he is the most popular person in the country. Dia tak akan percaya bahawa Melayu dah meluat sangat dengan dia. If UMNO don't topple in next AGM, then Pakatan will swallow him alive in GE14. The less we heard about him the better for the country.

Let us talk about how the malays can be united, be it under PAS, PKR or a reborn UMNO. This will make more sense to all of us.

Who gives a flying fig about all these agendas when the Maybanks, CIMBs, Telekom, Tenants, MAHBs, MASs etc are being forced to go out and compete, not only within Asean, but within Asia and beyond.

I don't recall Bru dispensing words of wisdom on economics, globalisation, competitiveness, productivity and other humdrum topics.

    Bro,
