Glass and Diamond, and a Silver Jubilee

update 15/2 at 1.50am:
SUNDAY RALLY FOR SULTAN. There will be a gathering in front of the Istana Kayangan Shah Alam this morning [Sunday, 15 Feb 2009] at 9.30 a.m. The gathering is a show of support for the Sultan of Selangor's special statement on the state of affairs in Perak. A memorandum will be submitted to the Sultan.

Note: There have been several comments against the Sultans under this thread which are excessive but which I have published anyway in the name of freedom of expression.
I would like to remind all my dear commenters that you are responsible for what you write here.

Original posting:-
“Barulah kita kenal siapa kaca, siapa permata”
(Now we know which is glass, which is diamond).

The events in Perak have led the Sultan of Selangor to come out strongly in the defence of the Sultan of Perak.
“Political developments, instances of street demonstrations and disputes between various parties, relating to the recent appointment of the new Perak state government, to the extent of displaying rudeness to the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, have saddened and disappointed me.”
Read the Sultan's special press statement. [It was issued yesterday, the eve of the Sultan of Perak's Silver Jubilee celebrations today].

Selangor is one of the five states won by Pakatan Rakyat last March. Perak was, too, until the defections of 4 Aduns to BN that compelled the Perak Sultan to request Nizar (whom he had appointed as MB for the Pakatan state government last March) to quit and pave way for the BN, which now commands the majority in the state assembly, to form a new state government.

Nizar responded by begging to defy (menderhaka) and Karpal Singh, the DAP chairman, has vowed to sue the Sultan. Nizar has also filed a suit to challenge the appointment (by the Sultan, of course) of new MB of BN, Zamry.

What happens in Perak can happen in Selangor, and I think the Sultan of Selangor is aware of this.
“I hereby wish to advise with the utmost sincerity by taking into consideration the future of the religion, Malaysian nation and our beloved country. Please do not be misled by actions and behaviours that will only disgrace our integrity, invite high risks to our process of progress, and eradicate the foundations of national sovereignty through the display of rudeness, treachery, arrogance, ignorance in knowledge and lust for power."
Interestingly, former Selangor MB Khir Toyo was picked up by police in Penang yesterday for taking part in a rally against Karpal Singh's "seditious remarks" against the Perak Sultan. The Barnama story, here.

The issue has also led to a major feud between a Malay blogger and a non-Malay blogger.

The HRH Sultan of Selangor has also quoted this Malay proverb.

Karpal Singh must do the right thing. Apologise for the rudeness. You can take the HRH to court in the name of justice, but don't kurang-ajar and don't encourage others to be such.

If Karpal does not revere the Sultan of Perak, I hope he remembers that millions in this country do.

In Malaysia, the Sultan is icon for both the Malays and Islam the religion.

    Thank you.

  7. UMNO and Pakatan are both hypocrites, UMNO more so as when they committed 'derhaka' in their previous past nothing was done, no police reports were made, so too for Pakatan. Don't make a fool of the Raja thinking that when they looked out of the window of their palaces, do you think they think those anti-derhaka fellos who seem to show they are Hang Tuahs today will not be Hang Jebat tomorrow? and vice versa.
Stop insulting the Rulers and the people from seeing beyond your demonstrations and police reports!!!! Yawnn!!!

  8. Honesty is the hallmark
    Of good quality leadership
    When one makes a mistake
A leader must be willing to say sorry

It can be a ruler, director, general
And leader of men and ordinary folks like us
We must be honest to admit mistakes done
    Talking about history
Every one sins one way or another

    Islam has no caste system
Every one is equal kings or rulers and ordinary folks
It is our society making the rules and divides
Hence we see our problems cropping up
    Every now and then
    There is no honesty……

    Thieves amongst men
Honesty so hard to come by
    Deal and bending ways
In the end we harvest what we planted
    We blame ourselves
For honesty isn’t in the mind

So honesty caps it in our minds
Believing in God the way life will move easy
What God plans nobody can break it
    It will be our folly
    When we forget

    Salam Bro. Rocky,
I respect your stand on this "Daulat Tuanku" issue. However, personally I don't feel too good knowing that many of our royalties are multi-millionaires and most if not all of them got to that status by leveraging on their heriditary/royalty factors... of course they would want to maintain the status quo (who wouldn't given a choice? Even those royalties who are "legal experts" talked about "upholding" the judiciary in a modern society but hardly mentioned about the "relevance & rationale" of heriditary "superiority" of the royalties in the context of modern legal system?); the question is how long the Malays could afford to go along with this arrangement in the name of "defending their special previleges" even after more than 50 years of "merdeka"? In my opinion, this is just another "hidden tongkat" for the Malays. A "tongkat" that costs us the rakyat/common people hundreds of millions of ringgit since independence... fikir2lah bangsa ku?

Unless all the 9 Sultans and family members dress up fully everyday and stand at tourist attraction area to help attract more foreign tourist so that our country can earn more foreign exchange otherwise what is the use of this 9 Sultans household?

    Guys,
My advice to the Sultan of Selangor is to remain neutral. You know what! Thai King is much better at using his reserve power than Perak Sultan. During the crisis last year, he said nothing. It's only after constituition court pronounced that PPP's PM as guilty than Abhasit is elected.
Perhaps, it's a big mistake that British took over those 4 states. Otherwise, it would be under naungan Siam. By the way, Thai King has more reserve power and yet he remains silent over this.

To Sultan of Selangor : Don't be like Shah of Iran. It goes both ways

    Salaam, Pak Rocky

I hold strongly to the belief that respect and trust have to be earned the hard way - by behaviour, actions and words. There is no short cut, no fast track to earning respect and trust.

The more so for institutions that are supposed to set the moral tone for our country, that are supposed to demonstrate the highest ethical and moral standards and that are supposed to the "unifying elements" in a polyglot Malaysia.

    Is that asking too much?

Why don't we simply get rid of all the royal leeches and have just a President, as Head of the nation... elected by the people or by Parliament. Let Malaysia be "The People's Republic"
There are only 20 Kings left in the world, a small country like Malaysia has almost half of them, what a bloody joke!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anonymous5:12 pm

In relation to this matter, I believe you may find the article entitled "The law courts decide, not the royal courts" in The Malaysian Insider a useful reminder of the following: that the kings have a defined role in our country's political system, and if there is reason to believe that the kings have contravened this constitutional role, then the law courts shall be referred to.

The Sultan of Selangor's is free to express his disenchantment about the Perak affair.

But this does not, in any way, alter the fact that the kings are legally accountable for their actions in exercising their constitutional powers.

And there are no two ways about it.

In a Constitutional Monarchy, the Sultans and the other heads of State are there to do their formal duty.Too much weights should not be given to their role.Historicaly, when the chips are down, the rulers tended to put their own interests above other interests. We must not behave as if they are absolute monarchs. They are there because of the type of Government we choose.Due respects should be given where they are due. Some of them are fond of pontificating.Like other raayat, they have the rights to articulate what they believe in...and what they articulate may not be the gospel truths. When the chips are down, then only will we know!

    Saudara Rocky,

Who go and rampas Perak state who legally vote by the perakian?

If BN tak rampas Perak, this issue will not bring to the ruler? So who fault is this?

Remember, there is no right or wrong decision by the sultan, All the people want to know is why sultan did not go for the dissolving the assembly option. If the reason given is reasonable, I am sure all this will not happen. But until now, no valid reason given.

Seems like this issue has been bring out so big in Mainstream media. Last year MB issue in Terrenganu and Perlis.. MSM keep silent ...

  55. So now its official, the movement to remove Malaysia's Royal Houses has just begun. Just once, a Sultan has made a decision that somehow favored the BN regime, and all hell break loose.

I guess for Malaysia's Royal institution to remain intact, then all Sultans MUST ACT IN FAVOUR OF THE BLOODY PAKATAN RAKYAT. Any Royal Decree or decision that go against the opposition, than its "RAJA ALSO HUMAN LAH! NO NEED TO KEEP THEM. WASTE OF PUBLIC MONEY!"

"Look at Singapore ma, NO RAJA. Rakyat there have power what? Lee Kuan Yew is so down to earth a rakyat!" Yeah right...

The Pakatan Rakyat is now THREATENING Malaysia's sovereign Rulers, its DO IT the PR WAY, or GO AWAY! That's the problem when their 'patriotic' supporters have always regarded His Majesties Karpal Singh, Hj Hadi, and Anwar as THE BLOODY TRUE SOVEREIGN KINGS of the land.

All the other nine Sultans are just 'ordinary people', they are SUBJECT to Pakatan Rakyat's terms and conditions.

The fact that the special status of Malaysia's Rulers is enshrined in the Federal Constitution MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO THEM! NOTHING!

The fact that His Majesty the Sultan of Perak has issued a Royal Decree which lies within the scopes of both state and federal laws MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO THEM! NOTHING!

This is low, way too low. These 'revolutionaries' are ready to recognize Chin Peng as FATHER OF INDEPENDENCE (as if we would all be 'free' under communist dictatorship), but refuse to embrace the sovereignty of our Rulers.

I had expected debate and the airing of personal views in respect of this very sensitive chapter in our history. But I am very very disappointed with what I have read.

I shudder to think of the kinds of debates we will see in our parliament or state assemblies in the future. My, what colourful language.

Before it gets any worse, I would like to suggest to the government or the powers that be that a course in "Parenting Skills" be made compulsory for those intending to get married. It should be emphasised to these propspective parents that "ajar lebih tak apa, jangan ajar kurang sahaja".

For parents like Dr Nordin Abu Bakar (I am assuming he is married and has children) we could perhaps do something so that the "education" he has obtained does not go to waste. Maybe someone who knows him well and has his interests at heart might softly explain to him that there are better visual aids he can use to demonstrate his feelings to his children, to teach them, to educate them so they dont grow up to be like him and those others whose preference is for emotions and language fit only for the gutter.

I hope and pray our country will have a future that is free of racism and chauvinism and will not have so-called leaders who also reflect "gutter" culture.

I often wonder: does Anwar Ibrahim talk dirty to his parents, wife and children? Our former Minsiter of Education whose speeches are often littered with quotes from the Quran? Who once headed Angkatan Belia ISLAM Malaysia? The one who keeps company with Kings, Presidents and other leaders of men? This may appear to be a digression but I cannot but put the blame for all this squuarely on the shoulders of our esteemed Brother. Mencaci, mencerca, memaki hamun; baling batu sorok tangan. I think he knows and wants this. but I hope he also really knows what the saying "senjata makan tuan" means. He will ignore this to his detriment.

    Please change said...

Looks like Pakatan Rakyat credibility is down the drain and will lose many voters come next general election (including yours truly). Pakatan lack consistency and not honest!! Sorry to be blunt, but that is the facts. The following provide very clear evidence of Pakatan dismal integrity (if it has any before)

    1. If Pakatan feels that the appointment of new MP for Perak is unconstituitional, why not sue Sultan Azlan, (the right thing to do legally as per Karpal Singh).

    2. Only reason not suing the Sultan, is because ANwar worry of backfire due to perceived "derhaka" issue. If that the case, Anwar is really a snake, talam dua muka. Under this situation, why is Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, Husam, and Hadi Awang keep silence on this? All these Pakatan will naturally be perceived as snake us now!!!

    3. Why no one from Pakatan support Karpal Singh for doing the right legal things to sue Sultan Azlan?

    4. If PR refuse to sue the Sultan, why ask Nizar and the gangs waste time to protest here and there and refuse to vacate? PR should not waste our time protesting the Perak take-over by BN if all the Pakatan leaders (with exception of Karpal Singh) do not do the right thing.

    5. Lim Guan Eng openly welcome the BOTA ADUN, Nasaruding and yet less than 2 weeks condemn hopping. And Lim Guan Eng openly lie by saying he has always against hopping!! This is a serious matter from a Sec Gen of DAP. The UMNO/BN will use this in next election. Imagine BN put poster that Lim Guan Eng lie!!!. Can you see the impact?

    6. Please we voted PR for a change and we certainly do not want snake with no credibilty like what the PR doing now!

    7. We never like UMNO/BN, but equally we also do not want PR who is as bad as UMNO/BN!

Please call as spade a spade than wayang here wayang there.

Even PT blogger, RPK has written against the PR leaders recently.

The sultans is the symbol of peace harmony and progress - His Highness belongs to all Malaysians and not for one particular race ; after 51 years of independent and leaving together the non-Malays also need the support and blessings of royalty. Remember our Sultans are so much better than those in India and recently Nepal. Our sultans care for the rakyat . I was deeply disturbed when Dr Mahathir removed their immunity last time. Bro,

Beside the political blunder by this Pakatan Rakyat as evidence in Perak recently, there is now a reflection on how floppy in their economic competency.

This is in relation to the take-over of the water concessionaires in Selangor. In the Selangor Water Review Committee, the members include one Tony Pua, kononnya Oxford graduate, (same like the SIL) and the MB also kononnya ahli korporat, bekas CEO Guthrie.

Their take-over offers to these 3 concessionairs, 2 of which are part of listed company in Bursa ,namely Puncak Niaga and Splash (under Gamuda) will make a laughing stock in the business and investors community , locally and internationally.

    Gamuda:-

I expect the brokers and financial anaylst will have a field days in next week. How will Selangor attract investment with these bunch of Pakatan clowns!!!!!!

These so-called PR led bunch of clown tought only they have mother and father, with myopic thinking.

The crux of their offer is, they only offer to take over the assets of the concessionairs WITHOUT assuming the liablities. Why so blardy stupid to make this blunder!!!!

Who is going to pay the bankers, bondholders, being the liabilities incurred for the financing of the project at the inception. Is the PR clown assuming that the concessionaires' liabilities will be vanished ala PR's David Copperfield?

It was also reliably informed that PR has assembled a team of former suspicious veteran senior state officers working in the state water authority (before the privatisation) as PR representatives. What a joke? Mana itu CAT, itu Penang CAT sahaja?

Sources said the PR is believed to be using a boutique investment advisor, XJ Advisory in the exercise, whose boss has substantial interest in a public company (M****** G******* BERHAD) which has a hillslope development in Taman Melawati as reported in the media. Any conflict of interest , any disclosure, ada transparency?

And Tony Pua is boasting to take over highways! Water also cannot handle, don't be big headed lah trying to take over highways!!!!! Jaga itu longkang and sungai yang kotor dekat Kg Sungai Ara dulu, sebelum mimpi buat korporate deal. And please don't embarass the Oxford graduates!!!! wakakakakakakak!!!!!!

    ---------------------------------

    Dear ACCA,

Like I've said before, what Dr Mahathir did in 1993 (check out Jed Yoong's series of retro postings) was to place our Raja-Raja above the law.

Dr M's actions were triggered by a series of misconduct by some of our royalties. The last straw was the assault of a layman on a hockey field by a member of a royalty.

Before that there had been many, many stories of the Royalty's excesses.

Dr M put a stop to that. As a result, we have a Royal Insitution that is respectful of the law because the law applies to members of the Royal families too. Remember, before that they were more or less above the law.

Now, dear ACCA, in the case of the Sultan of Perak, the HRH is being assaulted by the politicians from Pakatan for acting within the law.

Not for failing to pay up some debts or for some business feuds, but for making a decision that led to Pakatan losing the state of Perak.

And who went to seek an audiencfe with the HRH to make a decision in the first place? Nizar.

And who said he would abide by whatever decision the Sultan makes? Yes, Nizar.

And then who decided to attack the Sultan for his decision? Well, bro, you know the answer.

As for what Dr M did in 1993, I have said it before and I will say it again: it will probably be his greatest legacy.

He helped ensure that our Raja2 and anak2 Raja are adil and people-friendly.

Listen to your consience and see by your wisdom. Judge by the moral values of your religion but not the culture of your religion that practise by your race. Who will be at the heaven and who will be at hell. i am sure all of us already have the answer but many of us just can't accept it.

The Sultan of Selangor does not have high moral ground to advise others to behave. We all know his conduct while in biz. No need to give details coz Rocky won't publish and understandably so. He escaped full brunt of the law coz of his royal blood. His Malay and Minah Salleh wives could not bear with him.

I still do not get answers as to how the Sultan of Perak is said to have acted within the law when he asked Nizar to resign when only the State Assembly can do so. This is borne out by Court decision in Ningkan case in Sarawak (see Prof Faruqi's article in the Star). The only legal decision of the Sultan was his refusal to dissolve the Assembly.

    To most hypotrites here ,

Most of you inteprets situation half truth to the benefit of your cause , never about mine , a regular guy who do not have interest in politics.
I had enough lies and inconsistency from all sides.
Firstly my mistaken votes to PR.I dont get shit from SYABAS free water bills as I am staying in apartment which cost 100++k . And my pal who is staying in bungalow and use less water get the water for free.I dont get the logic.I spoke to Majlis Sepang and Selayang , complaining that the promise of PR to reduce cukai pintu cannot be fullfiled because not budget for that. So as citizen , most will only pay after they see the rebate in their cukai pintu statement.Hey you guys promised right? Wahy should I care if you guys go bust.

SYABAS ,if you guys able to crap them , go ahead by all means. They are the cause of anger even by UMNO contractors that not inline with Tan Sri Rozali's minion companies . For those who dont know or not from this line just shut up,dont give comments you do not know.I suggest SPAN to tender SYABAS in the open to the highest bidder. Conflict on interest still appears if managed by PRK boys , they just just those ex UMNO sore losers.
On Perak royalty issue , please .. you guys have short memory.Just last year the 'yellow movement',(yellow means royalty , not chinese ok , I have an 8 years old adopted son of chinese blood, parents took drugs so dont tag any racist remarks on me)wow I see how the sea of multiracial opposition marching to the palace to 'seek' Sultan inclination to their cause.Fine I said .Maybe for the betterment of everyone.
Now I am reading comments and drive to kick out the Sultan system in this country because they do not follow their way.How do you see yourself from the eyes of fence sitters, worse regular Malays? Raja Petra I guess is getting the kick in his butt by his cousin now for this wrongly calculation of involving the monarcy.

You see , dear supporters of both party , have you ask yourself , on smaller scale issue ,the place you are staying now, what has your MP done for you ? I asked Tian Chua ... still no reply .Sucks .

    All I want is
    1)Better internet line.
    2)Less interruption with power outage
3)There is a construction by Jlan Ipoh.Dusty now, where is the rule for the sprinkler to ensure the dust dont harm the school kid there?
4)Where is the fogging against mosquitos here ?
4)The bottleneck by Jalan Ipoh is caused by those irresponsible drivers that parked beside Mutiara Complex.. Will you monitor this?
5)Many more complain if you really come down and meet people in coffee shop and mamak..hell all races are there.

Instead .. what do I get from my MP and YB here ? They are so busy in Perak ! Hell if you like it so much why dont you transfer yourself there !!!!!

    Rocky ..

I need a favour can you do a review on Astro please , their bills and advert are wasting public money . Can you do ANTI-ASTRO MONOPOLY DRIVE? Work out of any big boys willing to compete them and come up with ASTR02. Its good money if new comer willing to give cheaper.See how the telcos are fighting each other with their rates?
And TNB too , and IPP , pressure them so they can go lower with their bills .
THESE ISSUES EFFECT MY DAILY LIFE AND POCKET . NOT WHO WANT TO BE PRIME MINISTER.

    Thank you .

P/S: And to those who go by anon here cursing the Sultans , write your full name and IC number , fill petition man . If not just shut up and continue this nonsense talk in a pub or mamak. I DARE YOU . Ah usual no telur la . Typical Malaysian even they drive Merc , Camry , Perdana or Saga .

Where were you when Idris and the Trengganu UMNO were cursing the sultan who also happened to be the Agong. Where was Sultan Selangor when all the bad 'mouthing' of Sultan Trengganu was going on. Everyone inclusive of the top UMNO leadership was involved, from top to bottom in the brawl. Then the Sultan Selangor did not see fit to make a public statment on 'Kaca dan permata'. If he is implying that the bad hats are the opposition then I would say he is ignorant of what is happening in the country since 1983, 1992/3. Remember 1992, it was UMNO that brought down the royal institution into the public scrutiny the UMNO goons were having a field day revealing the good ( not so much of good)Bad and Ugly of the royals where was Sultan Selangor then. Oh. forgot. He was still a nobody. Where were you Rocky. Why did you not put up the yellow label in your blog. Oh.Forgot. You had not made the best of your blog to be recoqnized by the paymasters. Dear Rocky

I aint gonna debate with you whether HRH's decision is within his scope of authority. There are conflicting views though I must admit I am no legal eagle to confirm which side is correct.
Regardless of the justifications, the monarchy was put in a very bad light then. And If we argue along the line of justifications, then PR would be right too to claim that HRH endorsement is morally wrong coz it sanctifies a coup and is not what the people wanted ( and hence the protest).
Rocky, where was UMNO when HRH of Terengganu and Perlis made the decision on the MBs? Didnt some unpostable banners were unveiled against HRH? That shows the hypocrisy of UMNO too, aint it, and thus confirm the view that UMNO is just trying to milk the issue purely for its own benefit.
With or without UMNO, I am sure majority of Malaysians are behind the monarchy and are unwavering in their loyalty to the King and Sultans, me included.

So wise rakyats such as yourself want to see their beloved Kings stand on neutral ground. Oh shit mate! So sorry, It has never occurred to me that Sultan Azlan Shah is A CARD CARRYING UMNO MEMBER, or that he's got the DACING SYMBOL on his Royal Coat of Arms!

As do all other eight Sultans!

And where do you get this cockamamie bullshit that our Rulers are NOT POLITICALLY NEUTRAL, from your bloody 'impartial' Pakatan Rakyat manual eh?

Yeah, yeah, bla, bla, my brain is stagnant, I'm a toad in a well. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, MAESTRO DA VINCI?

And yes! I do believe in democracy, and I do believe that rakyats - as members of the electorate - is endowed with the rights TO CHOSE whomever they want to lead this Nation. Now, where in my comment did I endorse DICTATORSHIP or TOTALITARIANISM?

So now I'm an UMNO dickhead and a racist eh mate? Is this what your 'superior' brain has come up with, that anyone who go against Pakatan Rakyat is an UMNO SCUM.

Any Raja that goes against Pakatan Rakyat - UMNO SCUM. Any intellectual that goes against Pakatan Rakyat - UMNO SCUM. Any transvestite that goes against Pakatan Rakyat - QUEER UMNO SCUM.

    kedaulatan undang-undang

Inilah ertinya sebuah demokrasi berparlimen.

Have you heard the latest about Hishamuddin Aun, the Group Chief Editor of NSTP? Apparently, he has asked Jamaluddin Jarjis to talk to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to retain him as GEIC.

It is disgusting as to how low he can stoop.

Last week, Berita Minggu carried an interview with JJ and this week it was the Sunday Times, all by Hishamuddin's instructions.

I almost puked reading his column on Najib today. He is carrying balls lah.

Last week he even kissed Rosmah's a*se. And this is the same guy who has been going around saying that Rosmah is the actual Prime Minister-in-waiting. He has even said that Najib is being queen-controlled by Rosmah.

And guess what Hishamuddin has even dyed his hair black...

p.s. Kenapa takut sangat Hisham? Kan kau dah banyak bagi bisnes pada isteri kau, owner of Casa Impian. You are part owner of the company. Takkan sampai nak jilat ju**r Rosmah, Najib dan JJ. Malulah sikit...

    2. Ours is a Constitutional Monarchy. The Constitution is supreme;

    3. What puts off a lot of people, I think, is the use of the phrase "suing the Sultan";

    4. And what angers the supporters of the Palace is the unruly behaviour of the protesters;

    5. The aggrieved parties can go to the court. They can also test the support for the new Perak Government in the assembly or both;

    6. Whatever is the case, shouting abuses at the Sultan is rude to say the least. It's punishable too.

    Petikan dari satu blog.

    Apakah kita lupa media arus perdana telah memainkan isu "Kapitan Cina" sebagai menghina Sultan Selangor dan Raja-Raja yang lain ketika itu. Dato' Zainal Sakom sebagai mewakili UMNO Selangor, telah membentangkan 4 resolusi di Perhimpunan Agung UMNO mengenai Raja-Raja Melayu dan resolusi itu telah diterima oleh Perhimpunan Agung UMNO. Resolusi itu adalah seperti berikut;

    1. Menubuhkan satu jawatankuasa untuk menyiasat dan menyenaraikan semua harta, tanah dan projek yang telah diluluskan kepada Raja secara lansung atau melalui "Kapitan Cina".

    2. Meminta Presiden UMNO supaya bertindak tegas atau memecat mana-mana ahli exco atau wakil rakyat yang hipokrit dan bermuka-muka yang terlibat menghasut Raja-Raja untuk kepentingan diri sendiri.

    3. Meminda perlembagaan 1957 (Merdeka Constitution) supaya kuasa muthlak melantik Menteri Besar ahli mesyuarat kerajaan negeri (EXCO), setiausaha kerajaan, penasihat undang-undang dan pegawai kewangan negeri adalah bidang kuasa pucuk pimpinan parti yang memerintah.

    4. Supaya Perhimpunan Agung UMNO memberi mandat penuh kepada Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir dalam menghadapi dan mengatasi isu Raja ini secara umumnya sama ada menerusi pindaan perlembagaan dan segala langkah yang perlu.

You'd notice that many commenters brought up the "Natang" banner and the case of the Perlis Raja over the choice of MBs (Idris in Terengganu and Shahidan in Perlis).

Both incidents were Umno vs Umno, an in-fighting caused by a weak leader. In both cases, the parties that were "biadap" to the Sultan were flushed down the toilets.

    1. In KT, Idris lost his MB post most unceremoniously (and what a shame cos I think he did a good job for Terengganu despite the Monsoon Cup and the pressure put on him by KJ and Kalimullah's friends).

    2. In Kangar, Shahidan was shown the exit by his enemies within Umno who were closer to the Raja.

Perak's case is different. It is BN vs PR, not Umno vs Umno.

    Thank you.

For sure, my vote will be shifted back to BN/UMNO for the next coming election in Bukit Gantang. I'll bring together with me at least 15 votes throughout my families.

PKR is actually worse than UMNO,
Similar goes to DAP which is BIADAP than MCA/MIC,
and last but not least PAS is out of the principle. That is why it is so called as PAKATAN RAPUH.

It's all about cars. The poor Nizar worked so hard to drive a Camry to work and wanted to work harder to get a Lexus, like his counterpart in Selangor, but alas his dreams were shattered.

Now it looks like Ronnie Liu will have to work hard for his Camry too. He is probably removing another screw on the Perdana to claim 'the engine dropped', and he nearly died.

Phew, a car really drives a person, doesn't it?

    A GOOD MAN DOES NOTHING.

Don't tell me...Sultan does not recall...these PR elected politicians also represent... more than half of Perak's voters..which means more than half of his subjects.
I hope he eats and sleep well with a clear conscience.
he need not take sides...just approve election....his job his done.

  128. I think Malays and non-Malays view on the Royalty may be skewed. The recent PAS supporter’s somewhat aggressive protest of the DYMM was sad (pelting the royal car perhaps politican ok lah).

I don’t think Nizar has said or acted in an unduly rude manner to the royalty. Karpal’s Malay is so bad he didn’t explain well of his disagreements. Perhaps the term derhaka has been misunderstood.

I don’t think Rocky is trying to pit the races. He seems to take the Royalty seriously. It’s a cultural value system; that we Malaysians really want to be proud of!

I am glad we are taking about sensitive matters civilly.

    I like this language of protest as per Haris Ibrahim blog;
    Ampun tuanku,
Patik harap tuanku akan memperkenankan pembubaran Dewan Undangan Negeri Perak. Ini untuk mengembalikan kuasa kepada rakyat. Semoga Allah membalas jasa baik tuanku.
    Harap maaf, ampun tuanku…

If you study history, you will see that the tide is against the royals, not just here but everywhere as people all around the world wake up to the fact that royals are unelected persons who are living off the largesse of the working civilians and most of the royal families around the world have already been abolished or if they are still around, are very careful not to antagonize the public.

Dah semua. Agung dah bersuara. He said to respect the constitution and that HIS government which I assume is the current BN govt,"will not hesitate to take action against anyone who tries to disunite the people, to ensure that racial harmony and peace in the country are maintained," he said to applause from the members of Parliament. Ehem.
Lepas ni mesti banyak lah orang Pakatan melenting kata Agung pulak tak adil.

    Rocky ,

You have loose racist cannons here. Please remind them that no all other races other than Malay are into going after the Sultans, bothered much about NEP or Malay rights issues. Some of them are into peaceful and coexist with one an another. My staffs are from various races and we work happily thinking about our future in the company.I have adopted a Chinese son and I swear that I'll do the same scar if anyone harm him due to his appearance.
Fight brilliantly thru engaging wisdom debate.Action taken against crime of seditious or hate crime only to be taken to the culprits. To those Malays here who uttered words of violence..shame on you.Onn Jaafar who was born in a state as mine ,gave UMNO to Malays for the sake of freedom laced with humanity to all,as profess in Islam. I have not really felt such animosity among races until I am KL and north up. Ironic as Johor was the birthplace of UMNO. Funny ,when I came back to JB I still feel as it was before. Why are most people so violent in their mind these days ?

Undang-undang Malaysia dibolehkan Sultan disaman. Sila jawab betul atau salah.

Kalau Orang Melayu menyaman Sultan dikatakan derhaka..

Kalau Si JWW Birch tu hidup lagi mau dia gelak sampai mampos pasal dia bukan orang Melayu dan bukan orang bukan melayu rakyat Malaysia. So dia boleh la nak saman Sultan.

    Dear Rocky

    Thanks for your response.

It aint no difference if its UMNO against UMNO or UMNO against PR. Why should there be a differenet standards to be applied.
Key is that HRH was insulted by UMNO then. If you pontificate that HRH is beyond question, doesnt this applies too in Terengganu?
Lets make it clear. Its UMNO that opens the door to allow a suit against the HRH.
Whatever, my loyalty to the HRH remains as a citizen of this country.

    Rocky Bru,
Zam Zam Ali KeZam & 6 Excos are suspended. They are no longer Aduns for 12 to 18 months. If you ever believe in rule of law, what say you about Sultan of Perak? If Sultan of Perak continues to support this illegal Zam Zam Ali KeZam's government, how do you see Sultan of Perak.
Derhaka or no derhaka, if such thing continues, Karpal Singh has that damn right to sue the Sultan. Yeah, you say you can't challenge the Syltan. You also can't challenge the Speaker. By the way, Perak Sultan has no right to sack the Speaker.
No supply bill or budget can be carried with the consent of the state assembly. Don't you think that Sultan of Perak should do the right thing. You are still buta. Buka mata lah!

I don't really want to know who is glass who is diamond. Let the people decide. Let the people decide who is glass who is diamond. Dont you think its better? What Sultan said could right or could be wrong. Sorry I menderhaka juga. In the old days I should be killed? Right? But sorry those are the olden days. Or shall we bring back to the mornachy govt.? Then everyone shall shutup. Just declare the state of emergency, and let the military takeover. No more election, no more people's voice, and everyone should be happy then.

The Sultan is also my symbol as a Malaysian; of Malay Cultural heritage; and I will always 'sembah' the DYMM. I do hope we can learn to separate race and religion with politics. Understanding that religion is not Science; unfortunately.
