"OK, OK, they were sacked!"

updated to include Azmi Anshar's DD: Will sacked judges return the money and demand new tribunal?

Original article:
Nazri regrets Nov 6 statement
. The de facto Law Minister who "broke" his predecessor's promise not to divulge how much the Government paid as ex-gratia to the six 1988 Judges has admitted that it was wrong of him to have said that those judges had not been sacked.

"I regret making the statement in Parliament because it was made without the facts," he said h e r e.

DAP's Karpal Singh, who described Nazri's Nov 6 statement as "a big lie", has called for the Minister to be referred to the Right and Freedom Committee. Decision on that next Monday, here.

MB Perak arah jurugambar Utusan serah kamera, padam gambar

IPOH 12 Nov. - Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaludin hari ini bertindak di luar dugaan apabila memaksa jurugambar Utusan Malaysia menyerahkan kamera dan memadamkan gambarnya yang diambil ketika penyerahan surat tuntutan maaf daripada seorang peguam.

Kejadian berlaku semasa sesi rehat sidang Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) di dewan makan Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan di sini apabila jurugambar, Mohd. Najib Mohd. Nor, 28, merakamkan gambar Mohammad Nizar menerima surat tuntutan maaf daripada peguam Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan UMNO Perak, Datuk Seri Mohd. Tajol Rosli Ghazali.

Selepas meminta Mohd. Najib keluar, Mohammad Nizar kemudian dengan memanggil semula Mohd. Najib.

''Woi, mari sini. Saya nak memory card kamera tu," katanya.

Mohd.

Zaman dulu,Dr.Yusof Nor hebahkan pencen Tun Salleh masa menjelang pilihanraya kecil Ampang Jaya, kini Nazri hebahkan sebab nak menegakkan benang basah.

Kalau betul, dah salah tu.Tapi kalau dia rasa tak salah tak mengapa lah.

I wonder why the PM decided to re-appoint Nazri Blur as the de facto law minister; did't the PM learnt anything from the pre-Zaid Ibrahim's era, that Nazri used to talk laws and other matters without using his brains?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anonymous6:51 pm

To Nazri, if you can go to Parliament and make statements in the august Houise without having the facts, how would the rakyat be ensured it would not happen again or other MPs of your Government making the same mistakes in repect of other public issues? I would think what you had said represents as good as any lie because that was not the truth. Or, if you were unsure without the facts, then do not hold yourself out so explicitly in the manner you did. Not in your position specially as a Minister in the PM's Department and also as a MP. It just show there is indifference in your mindset and attitude. Shocking indeed. How disappointed could you be?

Let's leave behind this "Zaid affair". He went against the cabinet collective responsibility. Of course we can respect his opinions and even label him a "man of principle".

The important thing here is that Nazri has admitted his mistake and has even agreed to join the Oppo Leader's parliamentary caucus on the integrity and independence of the judiciary.

    Semua nak prasangka buruk aje;sigh

Jika anak kurang ajar mesti ibu/ bapa akan dipersalahkan. Kalau menteri kurang ajar. Siapa pula patut disalahkan.....? tentulah perdana menteri dan timbalannya.

    Dimalaysia ini banyak menteri walau
    mempunyai trek rekod yang teruk
    ......menkayakan diri sendiri,
    keluarga dan kroninya.Lihatlah gaya

    Salah siapa.....? tentu salam PM

    Tetapi akhirnya masuk peti sejuk

    menteri buatlah "home work" secara
    serious dulu.

  33. This pariah minister likes to brag....likes to talk cock..likes to show how powerful he is......likes to teach others how smart he is....many many times.
But in the end...he is a typical by product of an UMNO minister.....that tell lies...get caught...apologize..and start all over again.
Nowadays...few UMNO ministers...quickly apologize...or admit their mistakes...hoping it is all forgiven and forgotten.
    They never change nor learn.
Apology is just an act.....not from the heart at all.
Nazri is one of the biggest clown...competing for the trophy with Syed Albar...in UMNO today.
