I don't trust him!ReplyDelete
a big NO!ReplyDelete
Yes, I take Badawi's word for it...ReplyDelete
... with a large grain of salt.
Lets see how it goes. Hold onto your hats.
Despite Malaysia's pretty economic growth over this past few months, something just doesn't seem to be right. It is almost as if the GDP growth figures were manipulated or spiced up.ReplyDelete
Well, they weren’t. Contrary to popular belief, the government does not really ‘jack up’ economic figures. It just found clever ways to ‘spice up’ growth figures. That's all.
Let’s use last year as an example. Abdullah found out that the economic figures were not good, and it couldn't have been at a worse time. Elections were just around the corner and he didn't want the economy to appear weak. So he did something very clever - he increased the wages of civil servants. This, of course, leads to higher spending. And as we know, spending helps boost the economy.
I am not saying that civil servants do not deserve a pay rise. But the reason why they were given one couldn't be any worse. Yes, Malaysia is actually a failing economy. China and India are fast replacing Malaysia as manufacturing power houses. Half of Malaysia's GDP figure comes from the manufacturing sector.
If oil and palm oil prices did not increase last year by a mile, Malaysia would have registered an economic growth of somewhere near 3.5%. This is a measly figure for a developing country.
By 2014, Malaysia will no longer be a net exporter of oil. In turn, this translates to losses for every sen oil prices go up.
To achieve developed status by 2020, Malaysia should have registered at least an 8% economic growth annually since 1995 (a developed country should have Purchasing Power Parity of at least RM25,000, and GDP per capita should be close to PPP figures) Right now, Malaysia has PPP of RM14,700 and a GDP per capita of RM6,500.
We have only done an average of 5% increase in GDP growth from 1995- 2007. So Vision 2020 will not be achieved despite what the government might claim. Furthermore, for Malaysia to move up the value chain, (I define this as a country that is able to innovate and produce high- quality products eg companies such as Samsung, LG from Korea) large amounts of foreign direct investments (FDI) are needed.
To show you how low our FDI is, Malaysia has a pathetic RM7 billion of FDI annually while Singapore, a country 100 times smaller then Malaysia, has FDI of RM55 billion annually. Last year, nearly 50% of our FDI went into the Iskandar Development Region. This, in my opinion, is a project bound to be a major failure. When Singaporeans were invited to invest, they did. But when they started to invest, our smart politicians said this would chase the Malays into the jungles.
To summarise everything up:
1. Malaysia's economic growth is now based on oil and palm oil prices. (Malaysia will soon be a net importer of oil, and palm oil prices have reached their peak, meaning it will be downhill from here on)
2. Malaysia's manufacturing sector is shrinking, thus unemployment rates will go up.
3. Immigrants from Indonesia, Philippines are causing wages to remain stagnant.
4. Malaysia is suffering from a ‘brain drain’. No qualified professionals want to work in Malaysia anymore.
5. All the people’s tax money are being used for stupid subsidies and unnecessary mega-projects.
Salam Rocky Bro,ReplyDelete
With his track record of free-wheeling flip-flopping for past four years, I won't even put my 10-sen to it!

After all he was the one who said election wont be anytime soon only to bubarkan parliament the next day (it made all MSM look really bad)
he was also the one who said harga minyak naik in August only to do it way ahead of schedule.
and now this...cry wolf la
the I-won't-dissolve-parliament-tomorrow and the fuel-hike-in-August government told us no more fuel hike for 2008??!!!
watch out! tomorrow may be another round of hike!!!
With the present increase in the prices of petrol already half dead.ReplyDelete
Do not know whether can last till month.....
Summary of increase.
1. Cost of petrol usage $400 per month times 40% increase will be $160.00 less the $52.00 = $108.00
($52.00 = $625.00 divided by 12)
2. Breakfast mee soup increased by 20 cents and a month will be 20 sen times by 20 working days in a mth = $4.00 per mth.
3. Lunch chicken rice increase by 50 sen and in a month will cost 50 sens times 20 days = $10.00
4. Two children transport to school at $100 times 2 times by 40% = $80.00
Total increase of cost = $108.00 + $4.00 + $10.00 $80.00 = $202.00
Where to get the extra $202.00 to pay???? Other increases not included!!!!!!!
Can we still trust what Pak Lah said? Fool me once shame on you (Pak Lah), Fool me twice shame on me... FOOL me trice shame shame on me you (Pak Lah) fool of fools...ReplyDelete
Put it this way, bro - with the track record of going 180 deg so frequently of late, I really wouldn't hold my breath.ReplyDelete
Then again, with the volatility of crude prices, I am surprised that he's made this statement with such conviction, as if trying to make the hole he's already dug for himself a lot deeper, if the Government is forced to review the price again this year.
Incidentally, this is again another flip-flop from the "we will review the pricing on a monthly basis" stand taken earlier.
Walski hopes for the best, but won't be surprised by ANYTHING anymore...
That was what Noh Mohammed said for 2008 - no hike. See what happened?ReplyDelete
Can we trust Sleeping Beauty? And his sidekick?
Mee goreng already RM 4.
Trust him at your own risk.ReplyDelete
I no girlfriend, i suddenly get married.
not election yet, suddenly cabinet dissolve for next General Election.
No fuel hike until August, and on the 5th June, FUEL HIKE 41%.
Trust him? you decide.
Dia itu terkenal 'flip flop' la,ReplyDelete

This is the FLIP...wait for the FLOP!ReplyDelete
Masih tak leh caya....ingat citer 'The boy and the wolves'?ReplyDelete
No petrol hike at end of year?ReplyDelete
He must be joking again
Earlier he said it would be reviewed every month
Now he flip-flopping on his wagon
The world crude oil will jump
By end of year it may hike to US$180 per barrel
The economy will have to change focus
So are the costs of goods
And petrol hike will come
He is worried about his position
Now people are angry with his stupidity
We are oil producing country
Yet we are paying many extras…….
Has he gone to sleep again?
Wake up finally finds he has to do something
The wrong decision he sits on his worried face
The time is running out for him
He knows it so are his own ministers
This is the nail
Going into the ground
A long goodnight for BN
The people will not miss the party

Dear Mr. Rocky,ReplyDelete
I would like to suggest to all Malaysians, instead of us doing street protesting on the roads and getting a 'free' beating and shower by the FRUs. What if we do what our datuk nenek had done before to stop Malayan Union. That is, a Malaysia wide Hartal (mogok).
Hartal SeMalaysia - where we the people, stop all businesses and any kind of work for 3 straight days. Everybody stay at home. By this, not even the FRU can do a beating on you if you stay indoors, expecially when it is your own home. This hartal is to show the government that we no longer want the current government to be in the office. That we want the 'insane' hike in petrol to be brought down immediately. That we want to make sure that the people are given back their rights to the country's wealth (including Terengganu's royalty money). That we want to make sure that the cabinet MP's feel what we the people are feeling now.
Do you dare to push this Hartal by your blogging magic? I'm willing to participate in this hartal, and so are my other friends.
We can only wait and actually seeReplyDelete

After reading AKJ's article that we Msian are actually now paying USD3.12 per gallon versus Americans paying USD4 per gallon, this Dol fler had better not increase petrol price ANYMORE. How can we Malaysian with a measley per kapita income of USD17k versus Americans with USD46k per kapita income be made to pay USD3.12 per gallon.ReplyDelete
Pak Lah reminds me of Benny Hill (UK) the Clown /Joker. Anyhow, Pak Lah performed badly of course.ReplyDelete
We the Rakyat can not take much from this Flip Flop Leader, more so that he is irresponsible born corrupt and hopeless creature.
Whatever that comes from his mouth and/or tongue is as good as SH*T (the past Shahnon Ahmad would agree on this if he is still alive)!
No one on this Malaysia soil have respect on this Pak Lah and his bunch of corrupt losers.
Worst, they have been surviving on the Rakyat flesh blood hard earned income thru tax monies.
These leaders should bang their heads to the Wall.
Very sad indeed that we have such human beings - and GOID created them; what a waste!
No offense, but isn't that real?
Husin see two interpretation from this remarks:ReplyDelete
1. This is a possible manouvre for the high diving event at the Beijing Olympics ... a one and half revolution turn or a possible double flip flop.
2. An estimated Mathematical projection was done (read my blog here) based on the recent experiance of August expected increase. The next projected oil hike is this Friday morning! No lovemaking this coming malam Jumaat. Go queue for petrol!
Man .... sigh didn't we had a better time when Dolah was a sleeping beauty? Itulah apa pasal dengar cakap opposition suruh kejutkan Dolah.
So fellow Malaysians, we need to get organised. We need a demo to deliver a petition to Agong to call for a Royal Commission to investigate why Dolah is not sleeping happily ever after.
THis is serious shit.
Wow! Lagi untung jual orang dari jual unta.
Najib has said the same thing just a few months back during campaining for the election.
A little bird told me that somebody has advised PM to whack maximum when announcing the increase recently to avoid incresing again this year. It will be bad to him as he intend to continue to be UMNO President. Other candidate might use this as an issue to tople him.
Now, after the sharp increase, he can play a good guy game by making "no more increase" announcement.
I am just repeating what has been told to me by a "little bird"

Who is the biggest LIAR in Malaysia?
Cakap banyak tak guna. There is no time talk. The first that we all (Rakyat) should do is find the way how to kick out Pak Lah and the cronies from the helm.ReplyDelete
Biar dia kembali muhasabah diri semula. Dia dah terlajak jauh.
what is 10% cut allowances for the PM and his gang chicken feed lah... why not 50% baru real Pak Lah lah..ReplyDelete
dari Bekas Org Kerajaan
Politics Must Take the Backseat NowReplyDelete
The axe has fallen. And it fell hard. Petrol price at Malaysian pumps increased by 40% overnight. A hike of RM0.78. But in reality, an increase, no matter how painful, was inevitable. Rational Malaysians are not under the illusion that we will be spared this global phenomenon but the quantity of increase and timing is an issue of debate on the ground.
Members of Parliament and State Assemblymen must have had to use their spare battery last night because the flood of calls and SMS would have overtook the congratulatory messages they received when they secured their seats.
Our elected officials must answer pertinent and pressing questions. Why wasn't there a longer time frame to condition the mindset of Rakyat?. If you save RM56 billion from the reduction in subsidy, where is the funds channeled to? What are the immediate and long term plans for use to encounter this problem? What are proposed improvements to public transportation? Are we examining the use of alternative energy, if yes what is the extent of the study? Is Proton going to manufacture cheap, easily accessible and functioning hybrid cars? What are the policies to assist businesses adversely affected by the hike? How would you enforce retailers increasing prices for a profit?. These and many-many more.
Indeed Abdullah can be trusted... he has been consistently.... FLOPPING his FLIP...
I never trust liars.ReplyDelete
yeah Bro!HE can see the future 'no more fuel hike for 2008'.ReplyDelete
can HE see our future, convey this ti HIM 'go to hell'.

Would you believe words coming from an ASSE/Donkey?
Chinese have a saying..."you die faster!"
NO, NO, NO and NO!!!!!!
My prediction if according to his track record, we better make sure our tanks are at least 3/4 full as anytime now he will flip flop and last minute annouce the petrol hike!
I will take his word for it.... but in the inverse!ReplyDelete
Everytime he say's "NO", he does the exact opposite.
1- said don wan to get married and still love his wife, few weeks later got married. somemore to his own wife punya brother punya ex-wife. this guy is totally screwed upReplyDelete
2- said no election soon but next day, announce the election
3- said announce the price hike on august but next day announce the price hike for tonite.
wat's wrong with him? he cant decide, he cant think, he cant plan and most importantly, he dont know what he's doing
Hopefully people can still survive and have something to eat and to cherish in life...ReplyDelete
I am wondering what happen to the government? Cutting subsidy, price increase? Are we run put of money? Is the country is desperate for money? Anymore money left in the Bank Negara?
Recession may be inevitable, but the government need to make sure that the impact can be soften for those with less money.... Not following the capitalism idea ... the poor is getting poorer and the rich is getting richer...

For the best of Malaysia, believe in the leader who can be trust
A central question is whether there is a crucial connection between the 41% fuel price hike and the Terengganu Oil Royalty saga.
Recent statement by Amirsham and the meeting between Ahmad Said and the PM may have some bearing.
To gain further insights, bro Rocky and all visitors are cordially invited to attend this special convention convened by the Terengganu people:

Hey man.....no time to talk....lets think how to get Dollah Bodowi out of the helm.Put your suggestion here.ReplyDelete
We can't rely on UMNO member to get him out. Why? Simply because the money that he got from the fuel hike (Petronas) is used to buy the UMNO members for his survival on the coming UMNO General Assembly.
So, how? it's all lies on rakyat
to protest....whatever means..to out Pak Lah.

The police must realise that their 200,000 personnel cannot possibly stop 2 million people, even with life bullets!
BOLEH PERCAYA KER KATA-KATA PM ADA HAD ADA HARI NIE...CAKAP MACAM ORANG MUNAFIQ AJA...
There are two things that is consistent about Abdullah since he become PM, the first is that he and his close advisors persistently attempt to demonise or destroy Tun Mahathir's legacy any chance he gets and try to potray his PM ship as better than his predecessor. So far his flip flopping decisions and the latest being the way he handled the fuel price hike showed that he has failed to manage the country well and will continue to fail until the day he walks from Sri Perdana. However he has in many ways succeeded in tainting Tun Mahathir's legacy, which is a shame really as Tun practically gave the PM post to him on a golden platter.ReplyDelete
The second is that he is almost always consistent in doing exactly the opposite of what he says, therefore, I would expect a fuel hike in 2008 only not sure of the quantum of increase.
Oil walk? Street demo againts oil price hike? Surely a more noble cause and much better reason than the anti-tol demos, the Justice walk, the Bersih walk or HINDRAF. As this one involves all the rakyat at large.ReplyDelete
But where are those people who made all those walks happened prior to PRU12.
Oh..many have become MPs, ADUNS,EXCO members, some CM even PM in waiting. They had their big celebration dinners, ex-gratia payments, allowances etc etc..
So people, you think they have time to walk for you now.Don't bet on it!!
Now you know why they walked they demo and all before? All to achieve what they have achieved during PRU12.And their cause is done.
As for you and me and all the rakyat out there?
...Pandai2 laa ikat perut, jalan kaki...kurangkan belanja kurangkan cakap...Nobody cares for us laa...
.... jangan mareh ...
for a straigthforward yet paramount decision, the PM and his gang in cabinets can flip flop between YES and NO so many times within a short span of time, it only goes to cement the opinion that these are decisions made by habitual liar and cheats, whom really do not understand the meaning of integrity and personnal honour as a MAN.ReplyDelete

Jelas, kenaikan haga minyak adalah untuk mengalih tumpuan rakyat kepada isu minyak dan melupakan isu lain ! Apakah isu2 tesebut, ada sesiapa yang handal mentejemahkannnya - kluangman
