    rocky,

somehow or rather, this deepavali and raya don't feel so "meriah". is it me, bru, or do others out there feel the way i do? is it the haze or is it because the future is hazy for many, if not most, of us kaum makan-gaji? is it because the water rates have just gone up, chasing the higher rates for electricity and the prices of petrol and diesel, not to mention my pack of fags and favourite Black!? Or is it because there is no one to raise out spirits and our hopes in the face of greed and selfishness, no strong opposition and no strong leader? the pm said the economy is well; well, my economy doesn't feel as he said at all. per capita income, he boasted, is going to surpass 20,000 dollars for the first time so how come i feel poorer by the day as some people close to him show off their wealth and brag about equitable distribution of wealth? maybe it's just me but i really don't think so. my friends don't seem so "meriah", my more well to do neighbour is not doing an open house this year because "rezeki kurang", i can't get rid of the spectra for a decent profit so that i can buy a new small car. i thought things were supposed to get better.

but all the same i wish you and all malaysians selamat aidil fitr and a happy deepavali.

  7. Rocky!

Tak tahu lah Rocky kemana arah haluan bangsa moron Melayu saya hendak pergi, ke longkang kot, cemerlang gemilang terbilang kemudian masuk longkang!
Walaubagaimana pun Selamat Hari Raya Puasa kepada semua maanusia, termasuk juga lah "that ugly squinty Chinaman from across the Selat".

    Cheers!

    Rocky,
Eid Mubarak greetings to you, or as the Indonesians say, selamat lebaran!

Apart from the high petrol prices, here are some more observations why this year's Raya is not so raya :-(

-the ramadhan food-stalls at Bangsar closed up 3 days before Raya, citing poor business.

-car-dealers reported 50% less sales compared to last year, at a time of the year when car-sales are at its highest. Only the Toyota dealers are smiling a bit because of the intro of the new Camry (have to wait till CNY as the wait-list is that long)

-the Proton plant has now closed for a total of 6 weeks with no
cars on the assembly-plant(apparently there are 70,000 unsold Protons already).

Maybe other bloggers can submit more observations to show the economy has gone downhill? Just so the PM can wake up to the reality of the state of the nation...
