Dr M's much-anticipated interview is running tonight at 8pm and 11.30pm on the Bloomberg Channel.
Bernama has not placed any promo article on Dr M's interview (it did for Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's interview with CNN) but you can read it here on Bloomberg.
In his interview, Abdullah said he was not rolling back everything that Dr M had put in place. "... Vision 2020, (Dr M's) biggest achievement, that's my target too. That we share, I share the vision. I have developed what I call a national mission. The mission is very big in order to achieve that vision".
Tonight, when asked if he's optimistic of meeting Vision 2020's objective, Dr M will say, "...right now, I am not.''

On vision 2020, Pak Lah says:
ReplyDelete“That we share, I share the vision. I have developed what I call a national mission. The mission is very big in order to achieve that vision".
Wow... just in case you morons (to quote pasquale) think that our PM has no vision, he has reminded you that he has developed a national mission (whatever that is).
Yo Pak Lah, tak nak kalah, huh? You have developed a national mission to achieve that (2020) vision.
How much more confusing can that be.
Tuan Rocky,
ReplyDeletePak Lah dengan Dr Mahathir buleh gaduh sampai kerbau lembu balik kandang. Sampai ayam bekukuk. Sampai kering air liur.
Pak Lah boleh kata I am in charge. In charge apa? In charge penaik harga barang tapi bekalan hilang?
Nasib baik dok di kampung, pakai air telaga dan sungai. Air paip pakai sikit saja.
Kalau dok di Kuala Lumpur kena bayar 15 peratus lebih tinggi bayaran air untuk air kotor.
Pak lah buka mulut buat sakit hati rakyat saja buat apa?
Rocky! For The Man Who Sold The World!
ReplyDeleteAlas! The best and the brightest! The list is for real, fortunately or unfortunately for us! Now we all can understand and appreciate that the best of minds will take over from the meek so go figure Morons! Academically it goes without saying that Singapore Cabinet is much more superior then ours!
So what can we learn from this? Well, actually nothing, it is nigh impossible for Malaysians to learn anything from this. Why, because presently this country is being led by Morons! Imagine a patriot will and can be be sacked from the ruling party if members dare to tell the Emperor that he is indeed naked!

I am so glad finally someone said that most of our politicians are not much of an achiever academically ! The most important question here is 'So what can we learn from this?'. Certainly not nothing! How about the next one in line ? Isn't there some sort of qc mechanism to make sure a politician must at least have a basic degree?
ReplyDeleteSo Rocky, wanna change your header to - "The Malaysian Cabinet's Hall of Underachievers".
ReplyDeletePersonally, I liked "Education Unknown". Must have been an honorary award from U.H.K.(University of Hard Knocks).
Oh well, what else is new.
Pasquale,
ReplyDeleteEducation is important, but does not gurantee one to be successful on the streets. At times you wonder the more educated the person is, the more dumb he or she gets.
However, I must agree with you that the comparision between both governments certainly puts the Malaysian side in bad shape. It would be ok to not have brilliant education, but to be the creator of brilliant policies for the people that elected them.
Sadly, the local side don't have the education, nor the policies. All they have is their pathetic ego.
How to Ride a Dead Horse--Big Government's Solution
ReplyDeleteThe tribal wisdom of the Dakota Indians--passed on from generation to generation--says that when you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.
In modern education and expanded government, however, a whole range of far more advanced strategies are often employed, such as:
1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Threatening the horse with termination.
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other countries to see how others ride dead horses.
6. Lowering the standards so that dead horses can be included.
7. Re-classifying the dead horse as ''living-impaired.''
8. Hiring outside contractors to ride the dead horse.
9. Harnessing several dead horses together to increase the speed.
10. Providing additional funding and/or training to increase the dead horse's performance.
11. Doing a productivity study to see if lighter riders would improve the dead horse's performance.
12. Declaring that as the dead horse does not have to be fed, it is less costly, carries lower overhead, and therefore contributes substantially more to the bottom line of the economy than do some other horses.
13. Rewriting the expected performance requirements for all horses.
14. Promoting the dead horse to a supervisory position.
15. As a last resort, sell it on Ebay.
Stupid bloomberg. Stil referring to harry lee as spore's founding father.
ReplyDeleteIT is interesting that in his interview with Bloomberg Television, the former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should mention Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah as one of the two possible candidates to succeed Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.kadirjasin.blogspot.com/
Very interesting Dakota Indian advise. Didn't they nearly got wiped out? If I am a politician, I would continue riding a dead horse if it can still move...no need to feed or even care for the horse. Perhaps the advise should be 'Do not ride a dead horse, it get you nowhere'. Do you want to be a dead horse?
ReplyDeleteI wish to amend MM LKY's qualification. He did not achieve 'only' a first class - he achieved a rare double first which means that he had first class in two subjects. Was also awarded a special star for distinction at the same time. His wife too has the honour of being the first 'Malayan' woman for achieving a first in law from Cambridge in just under two years. There actually might be some basis for his presumed 'intellectual ' superiority.
ReplyDeletethe fact is dahlah tak pandai, our leaders are also memandai-mandai
