WHO HAS THE VINTAGE WINE?

Who wants to know? The SC, which is investigating a US hedge fund's involvement in 4 public listed companies here, wants to know more about Vintage Wine in the Newsroom posted on this blog on Sept 25.

They were in touch last week with this blogger. The SC wanted to know which articles I was referring to in the posting.

But I could not help asking if the SC was not interested in the US$34 million payout by utilities giant TNB to a certain Pak Robert. That kind of money can buy a ship-load of the best Chilean! But kudos to TNB for they, too, were proactive enough to get an official to contact this blogger regarding the Sept 21 posting.

My point: Not everyone dismisses bloggers. Umno would do well to take a cue from the SC and Tenaga Nasional on blog relations.

    Dismissing articles and comments posted on this and other blogs without probing their accuracy can be detrimental to one's interest. When there is an increasing doubt on the accuracy and credibility of mainstream media, many would yurn to the blogs to get another view and possibly a more balanced information and perspective. The public is no longer ignorant and easily taken in by all this talk of a Hadhari administration. Hence, good for you Bru - keep churning out the juicy stuff that the mainstream media (some of which are run by Singapre-trained operatives) chose to ignore!

    Bru,

    It's raining and it's past midnight. Are you still awake?

    Remember the nursery rhyme "It's Raining It's Pouring"?

    The following is the adult rendition of the song:-

    It's raining, it's pouring;
    Our leaders are snoring.
    Bumped their heads
    And they went to bed
    And couldn't get up in the morning.

    Rain, rain, go away;
    Come again another day;
    Umno election faces a delay
    'cause the leaders want a longer stay.

    As for SC, I was told by a company director that it has been having a series of meeting with listed companies to know how they are performing.

    Maybe Sdri Hardev Kaur can tell us something.

    I agree with Kawan. It's to their own peril to ignore blogs and Internet news sites.

    But I think Umno has given full recognition to the blogs and bloggers when it sacked blogger Zaharin Md Yassin from the party last week for insulting party President and PM.

    Now more people want to know about blogs and about Zaharin's Sang Kelembai blog.

    Thank you Umno and syabas Sdr Zaharin.

  5. Rocky Bru!

    I have no faith in the whole system anymore including the Securities Commission (SC). Let me tell you why! I was told that everything stops at Kali and he is a very very dear friend of the country's second Minister of Finance, Noor Mohamad Yaakop, who is of the same ethnic race as Kali. He will cover the trail of any of Kali or Kali's friends money trail. Good luck Malaysia!
