P. Kamalanathan. I know Kamalanathan as a blogger, first, and a PR practitioner, second. He invited me to speak at Bloggers' Buff, a gathering of bloggers which he initiated together with fellow PR practitioners and friends. And then late last year he won the MIC elections and is today the party's new Information Chief.
Youthful and educated, humble and idealistic, this Selangor-born is the new face of MIC, if you like.
I'd like to see Palanivel, a former journalist, get another shot at the Hulu Selangor by-elections. But if Najib Razak happens to be looking for new blood - not just from MIC but from BN - here's a candidate likely to appeal to moderate Malaysians, young or old.

Kuota MIC sudah diberi kepada MIC pada Pilihan Raya Umum yang lalu. Dan BN kalah. Kalau hendak cerita pasal kuota pun, tunggulah PRU akan datang. Pilihanraya kecil kali ini BN mesti menang untuk mengekalkan momentum kemenangan di pilihan raya kecil Bagan Pinang yang telah dimenangi dengan majoriti besar kerana calon yang betul iaitu Tan Sri Isa Samad.

I support you 100%, man. pick a true blue Melayu Bermaruah to represent the majority race in that seat. My grassroot contacts there tell me that the Malays will vote BN in droves if a Malay stands there. My calculations also show that the last time around arwah Datuk Zainal won because the Hindulen vote swung to the other side together with that of the parasitic Chingkie scum. 58% of Malays voted BN despite an Injun while of the remaining 42% only some 25% were hardcore PKR or PAS munafuckin nutcases, so anyone rational can do their maths as to where the 17% came from. Yeah, 17% of UMNO/BNites disenchanted with an idiotic Sleeptroll plus a Hindulen intruding into the territory. Remember arwah was also an exUmno man plus all three state seats went BN's way.

I believe the seat should go to Mat Taib as he has proved that he is a leader that fit into UMNO culture the best and being a better MB than Toyo too. The area is a Malay majority and why put in an Indian? Even if all the Indians voted the candidate from MIC that would earn only 19% so what about the Malay and Chinese vote?

India yang pelik. memang betul orang India memang kuat minum samsu. Lepas miinum dunia ni ana yang punya. Jumlah ornag India di hulu selangor cuma 12000. Memang benar Umno berikan pada MIC sebab setiakawan, kerana masa itu tiada istilah tikam belakang.Tetapi bila Hindarf muncul dan melontarkan macam macam ugutan dan fitnah, orang Melayu bukan saja bosan dg Hindraf malah dg MIC sebab itu Mr G kalah. Analisa lah dg kemenangan UMNO di state seat dg Parlimen. Buat masa ni MIC tak perlu bertanding di mana mana , buat lah kerja dengan mendapatkan sokong masyarakat India bukan dg pilihan raya Hulu selangor. Jika hendak jadi kayu pengukur sokongan orang India kepada MIC tungghu lah pilihanraya di Kapar kalau nasib baik ada. BN's best choice in the Hulu Selangor by-election is an Indian member of UMNO. Since Mahathir has now retired, I would propose Parpu Kari to stand. If Parpu stands, he would win pants down.

BN should put up candidates which satisfy certain performance criteria and if that includes humility all the better and we shouldn't begrudge any component party if these criteria are met.

I am an Indian, and I want BN to put an UMNO candidate, because Kali, Kamal or Palani do no have the support of the Indian community. Indians want to vote for BN, to thank Najib, but they wont if a MIC candidate is placed. Put Mat Tyson instead, but of coz, Muhiddin Yasin wont like that... a leader who is vastly popular, and if Selangor is in his hands, it will be easy for him to kick out Muhiddin as depty head of UMNO.

ReplyDeleteHe is young, vibrant with ideas, a true Malaysian (check out his blog if you don't believe me), respectful (even in his writings), always had a clean record (for those who claim he is a crook or has some bad records, i dare you to prove it and btw, just for your info if you do not know already, there will be a background check for all candidates before being proposed).
Besides being the Info Chief for MIC, he is also the Putera MIC National Coordinator (for those who are not too sure what Putera MIC is, use the search engine). He is what re-branding is all about. People like him are the type of leaders which should not be sidelined but given a chance to prove his worth and what he and his party stands for.
If he becomes the candidate, trust me, PKR will certainly not have it easy and they know it too.

Dialah re-branding yang MIC perlukan untuk menguatkan BN.
