Ketuanan Pakatan Rakyat

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KESETIAAN KEPADA RAJA DAN NEGARA
- the second pillar of our Rukunegara

Is this the Ketuanan Rakyat that we've been promised?
The right to give the Sultan your middle finger and pelt his prince's official car when you don't agree with them. Is that your idea of Ketuanan Rakyat? The right to accuse the HRH of "failing in thinking as a Ruler of his subjects"? [Who the duck is K. Kabilan to pass that kind of judgment on a Sultan, anyway? Read here]. Does Ketuanan Rakyat mean that you leave it to the Sultan to decide but defy him if his decision goes against you? And profess "Daulat Tuanku" only if you think you can use the Sultan to fight for your political battles?

This is no Ketuanan Rakyat.

This is what I'd call Ketuanan Pakatan Rakyat. You are either with them or against them!

I am placing the Daulat Tuanku logo up there for an indefinite period. I'm asking you to do so, if you have a blog or on your Facebook, etc. It's not in support of any political party; it's about preserving an Institution that is part and parcel of the Rakyat and the Negara.

If Karpal or Nizar or Anwar or Hadi want to drag the Sultan to Court to defend what you think is the right of your political party, that's their right so go ahead. I only ask for one thing: Biar beradab, jangan biadap dan tak payah derhaka.
And remind ourselves of the nuances: it's not just Kesetiaan Kepada Raja; it's Kesetiaan Kepada Raja dan Negara.

p.s And I hope no one resorts to hanging the Perak flag or the portrait of HRH Sultan Azlan Shah upside down to counter this blog campaign

Whatever that had happened, I believe had happened based on the law(s) of this country. If something else which some of you here is seeming to allege to happen is to happen, then the decision(s) or course(s) of action shall be taken, I believe. And it shall be based on the law. When we see the bridge, we decide to cross it.

Stop saying all these 'what-ifs'. Had it happened? No? Then stop saying making it sound as if:
    1) The HRH Sultan is stupid
    2) It was a premature decision and anything can happen in the future. In which case anything CAN happen in the future. In which case the Sultan shall make a decision then
    3) HRH Sultan Azlan do not have any reasons whatsoever for what he did other than supporting the BN

We are a sovereign country with tradition, rules and regulations. There are procedures in which we do things, and these procedures shall be respected and abided by at all times. We shall not overrule things just because it does not run parallel with our way of thinking.

    Loyalty to King and country

..is this tradition obsolete? Are we an outdated bunch?

..are you a victim of (western) colonization? Is the meaning of 'developed' = rid of tradition?

Royalties tend to have more patience than most of us because they live off our hard earned money, don’t have to work if they don’t want to, use their positions for business, marry and divorce as often as they like (all on our money of course), can sell titles, can give titles in exchange for favours, overseas trips etc.

Ask not what your King can do for you, ask how much you can give to his family (on top of the other political royalties feeding off us).

They lead charmed lives far removed from the rakyat. We should be grateful also that they are now trying to claw back their immunity so that they can better safeguard our interests (okay, let’s overlook the fact that they try to kill/beat up each other, kill caddies who annoy them etc.).

In short, noble people do noble things and we are blessed that our taxes go towards maintaining their luxurious, wasteful lifestyle.

I am so immensely grateful that we have such patient, honest, pious (don’t forget that the Sultan is the Head of Islam in their respective states, sometimes doubling up as a patron of night clubbing establishments), true and caring special beings that are far superior in biology, intellect and culture to all of us. Thank God for such outstanding models of humanity.

Gandhi, Mother Theresa and Jesus pale in comparison to the achievements of our royalty.

We are so lucky. So damn lucky.

'Kami berdiri teguh bersama Tuanku dan menerima apa-apa keputusan yang Tuanku fikir adalah terbaik demi rakyat.'

Sounds like we are moving back to feudalism. That's what happen when the politicians are hopeless. Malaysia is a blessed land indeed.

    Dear all,

Dear to all melayu yang lupa diri yang dok reply kat blog uncle rocky nih,

Uncle Rocky, I know u're not being biased. You just cannot tolerate kurang ajar to the Sultan.

    And to you bigshots responders/repliers..

Do you guys even know what kurang ajar means?

Sorry. Bapak has always taught me to become someone who is berbahasa. But sometimes, you old arrogant people are too much.

So.. here's looking at you "kids".

There are so many ways in confronting the problem in Perak. But to show the middle finger to the Royalty is too much. Even for a westernized KL boy like myself.

Bangsa melayu and Kesultanan Melayu is always related. Bagai aur dengan tebing. Bak Air yang dicencang takkan putus.

If you want the demise of the Melayu Sultanate, then fine.

I am a young malay in a manager position. The youngest in my company. I don't need the Sultanate or DEB. I am the total opposite of whatever stereotype/label given to the Malays i.e pemalas, harap subsidi, harap bantuan kerajaan etc. The chinese in my company are afraid of me.

    BUT.

What about my fellow malays in the kampong. What about the makchik in Kg. Sg durian. What's with her? She has decided to use up her life's savings of RM 50k to open a shop. Without DEB and MARA, would she succeed?

If you are a melayu..What about your 2 month old chuchu? Can he stand up the the competitive bangsa cina in the future?

The Malays are still behind. That's the truth. 66% of the population is Melayu. At the end of the day, it's all about the numbers.

    Yes. Top CEOS are malays.
    10000 melayu masuk universiti.
20000 tak dapat masok bang oi!
5000 keje kat Kilang NEC and Western tuh haa.

I'm young. I'm not a typical young man yang dudok bawah tempurung bang oi..

I come from a wealthy family, but I have been all over the malay populated regions. Kita masih mundor bang oi. There is just too many of us.

We still need help. The constitution is our best defense... and guess what.. the kesultanan melayu is the consitution best defense.

Don't be selfish O' people of perak. Don't be arrogant.

DSAI has not stated his stand against those bastards who were kurang ajar to the royalty. Does DSAI support these acts of kurang ajar? Fuck him if he does.

Don't be afraid of losing Perak Dato' Seri. You should be afraid of losing the younger malays' vote. You have definitely lost my vote.

I will not tolerate kurang ajar to my Sultan, the saviour of my people.

Skarang, saya nak kurang ajar sket :-

Tell me.. you like tak if I speak like this to you..

Aku betol malas nak layan orang2 tua macam nih. Gi lah jaga chuchu kau tuh. Skarang boleh lah dia berzikir. Karang bila besar, tunjuk2 middle finger kat kubor kau.. sebab, pasal kau, in 2029 dia takde sultan. Dia tunjuk fuck pasal dia tak dapat keje. Dia kalah tender.

I am sorry. But that was kasar. Nak kasar lagi? Boleh je.

    Reply lah.

Sorry Uncle Rocky... I just cannot tolerate arrogance and ignorance anymore.

An answer to Sick and Tired 10:46 AM

You have claimed that "the Malays are still behind" and that they "still need help".

Please define what you mean by "still behind" and "still need help". Is this meant to be an open-ended blank cheque with no expiry date?

Why can't the Malays do what the Malaysian Chinese and Indians do - instil in their kids the benefits of education and then do whatever it takes to make sure that their kids get a good education?

There is no short cut to prosperity and success. It has to be earned by hard work and the "sweat of your brow". In other words, no freebies, no rent-seekers, no quotas and no privileges.

Because in the great game of life, for how long can a race depend on freebies, quotas and privileges?

Look around you, Mr Sick and Tired. There are millions upon millions of Chinese, Indians, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese and Filipinos who are all out to eat our lunch, who will study hard to get the best education that they can and work for low wages to make sure that their kids get a leg up in life.

Do you think that the Malaysian Malays can compete in such an inferno unless they have the education, skills and talent to be on par with the other races.

And how do you acquire the education, skills and talent? I repeat ad nauseam - by maximising education, by hard work and by developing specialist skills that are in demand in a globalised world.

The Malaysian Malays can clamour for special treatment and for special privileges. The government may have to give into this, because as you have posted, they form 60+ per cent of the electorate. But when foreign investments decline, when domestic investors are too cash-constrained to invest and when the government has no extra funds to assist, then where are the well-paying jobs and employment opportunities coming from? Do you think that the government can create wealth out of thin air? That they can force foreign investors to put their factories, banks, IT hubs and outsourcing centres in Malaysia?

Grow up, Mr Sick and Tired. Your whining only highlights the fact that you seem to have no comprehension whatsoever of the competition that is out there.

I posted a reply to "Sick and Tired". Would you care to point out to me exactly what are the errors in my post?

Why am I still in Malaysia? Because I am a Malaysian. Simple as that. That doesn't stop me from earning a living overseas, if necessary. Or prevent me from criticising what's wrong in Malaysia.

The Tigkt1 youngsters I mentioned are all Chinese.

Their routine, get off the school bus, go straight to KFC, take-aways, lepak in the jungle pool, even swam in their uniforms.

By 630pm, just when the school is over, down they come from their hideouts, and board their school buses back home.

And we helped nab an Indian girl.

Routine, borrow the toilet of a restaurant to change into jeans, loiter around in the coffee-house.

About time to go home, changed again into her uniform, board the school bus home.

You should open your eyes to these before asking the Malays “ DO WHAT THE MALAYSIAN CHINESE AND INDIANS do????

Ah, we are on the subject of "race", are we?

Well, then - care to tell me how many Malaysian Malay school kids are "lepak-ing" every day in the shopping malls of Johor Bahru? Which shopping malls in JB? Komtar, Kotaraya, City Square, Plaza Pelangi, Jaya Jusco, for starters. And the list goes on.

"Lepak-ing" kids are from every racial group in the country. I blame this phenomenon on absent or indifferent parents and peer pressure.

Let me put this another way. Give us the breakdown by race on admissions to the public universities in Malaysia. Or the breakdown by race on admissions to top universities overseas - those students not funded by government scholarships.

Which top universities? Just go pick the top 30 from the latest Times-HES rankings.

Please don't display your ignorance about an issue you obviously know little about, and where what little you know is coloured by racist perspectives.

Like I posted earlier - there are millions upon millions of hungry Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thais, Filipinos, Indonesians, Japanese and Koreans out there. Care to tell me just how Malaysia is going to out-compete them?

A simple enough question, yes? Let's see what you have to say - without any verbal claptrap!

  17. First thing, in Islam the first rulers are from Musyawarah, if I am not mistaken...So are you saying that We the People cannot contradict what the Sultans says or do...are you blind or stupid...Even Khalifah Umar was being contradicted in front of his people by a lone woman saying that it is womens right for their mas kahwin and they can put as high as they can...Or are you forgotten about Saidina Ali when he lose in a court because some thief stole something that belongs to him and in a sense made the thief relies that Islam is so great that even the Ruler of the land can be defeated in a court of law that the thief spoke out Syahadah announcing his determining in Islam....As I am saying, Our Sultan which is not the Khlafaq rasyideen with Saidina Umar and Ali cannot be dified even in court or cannot be defied about their rules (that does not contradict Islam)... I am appalled that you Rocky Bru, a man with intellect gives some stupid comment to support Sultan if the decision is completely wrong...If Sultan ask you to do something stupid or ask you to drink wine (which is against in Islam) would you do it or Daulat Tuanku!!!!

Jangan kata nak mintak tanah dsb, nak mengadap pun takut.Rightly or wrongly it can be perceived as a weakness or strength of the malays.

I am still waiting for your rebuttal of my latest posting......

To all you wanna-be experts on the Constitution:

    - what are the rights and responsibilities of the State Rulers?

    - are they only responsible for Malay Muslims, Muslims of all races or all the races living in their States?

    - are the State Rulers only the defenders of Islam or do they have a responsibility to defend the rights of other religions (as expressed in the Constitution)?

    - as a Malaysian, is my primary loyalty to my country (Malaysia) or to the State (Johor) where I was born?

    - in Malaysia, we have both a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy. In a system of checks-and-balances, these institutions, together with an independent judiciary, balance each other. But when push comes to shove, which is supreme - Parliament, the Monarchs or the Judiciary? It seems to me that the rakyat (i.e. Malaysians of all races and religions) are the ultimate stakeholders in the country. Therefore, their rights and interests should be paramount.

It also seems to me that where there are rights, there are also responsibilities. The greater the rights, the greater the responsibilities.

  21. Another thing Rocky Bru,

The one which destroy the Monarchy institute of Our Beloved Ruler was UMNO, which they are the ones who stripped out the Rulers Power, They are the ones which have ridicule your Beloved Ruler in the past, which is not by RUle of LAw, not by the court (which is LEGAL), by intimidation. Go check yourself. I am not bragging or anything, it is history and you can google it.

As far as I am concern, if Sultan's make mistake they should be tegur, or as in malay term "Sembah Derhaka".....
